13.01.2022 This is an alpaca who was suffering from a Barbers pole worm infestation in its gut. These blood sucking worms caused the alpaca to collapse with anaemia soon after she had given birth. A blood transfusion was given at Denmark Vet Hospital and she is doing well, as is her cria (baby alpaca). Regular worming should be done, choosing the best wormer product based on us performing a faecal floatation test to reduce the chance of resistance. #alpaca #vet #DenmarkWA
