Bar open at 5.30pm each night New bowlers and bowlers looking to play pennant most welcome We will need more bowers for weekend pennant so please, if thinking of playing pennant, give us a try. 23.01.2022 I am pleased to announce that I got a call from Roma Britnell MP on Monday to say that the club had secured an Active Health Club Grant from VicHealth to enable us to purchase Nine sets of new bowls for use. Sizes will mainly be smaller size bowls to allow us to cater for our Bowling with Babies program - previously we could only run this program with loan of bowls from Lawn Tennis Bowls Club. We will have a range of sizes for social bowls use also that will allow us to better cater for that aspect of our offerings. Tony Scott President

23.01.2022 As advised by Bowls Victoria, Sport and Recreation Victoria and Vicsport, the new State Government guidelines are as follows Bowling is not considered to be 'strenuous physical exercise and therefore a face covering is required As from Monday 3 August, face masks/coverings will be mandatory wearing in Victoria regional areas - including by players on the bowls green. Wearing a face covering may ne uncomfortable and may take time to get use to, however this is a mandatory meas...ure. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FACE MASK There are a number of lawful reasons for not wearing a face covering, including if you have a medical certificate, so should this apply, we ask you to inform the club to note this. If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a face covering at all times, you do not need to carry it with you but the match committee should be made aware of the certificate. A face covering is not required when consuming food/drink in the clubhouse, but you must have the mask on your person upon entry and exit. Your mask when not in use should be stored in a plastic bag. 12.01.2022 Revised Stage 3 Guidelines Summary for Clubs: Although no written confirmation has been received, until further notice Bowls Victoria interprets the current Stage 3 restrictions, and the above two points, to include Bowls. Therefore the following revised Stage 3 Guidelines apply. Clubs must receive approval from their local council to open their Club (only if they are Council owned).... Members must contact their local club as to when they are open. Indoor bowls facilities must remain closed, noting covered greens with open sides are not classified as indoors. Outdoor bowls is limited to a maximum of 2 people per rink, with a patron cap of 10 per green. 1.5 metres must be the minimum distance maintained between each rink. Shared equipment (jacks & mats) must not be shared and only handled by one person, and must be cleaned and disinfected before and after use. Club houses must be closed (with the exception of toilet facilities). Outdoor toilet facilities can be used. Official training or club competitions cannot be held. In light of the above, at this stage, after 11.59 pm Wednesday 4 August, the greens art the club can be used for rollups only. Please observe social distancing and self hygiene rules as advertised

04.01.2022 Starting Wednesday 20 May 1pm-3pm Members roll-up 10 players per green No charge No comp. We will be commencing regular Wednesday roll-ups this coming Wednesday 20 May. First 20 members to nominate by contacting Kevin Butler by phone or sms to 0447 612 071... While members can access the greens in their own time, we thought it would be good for members to be able to also socialise while maintaining social distancing in groups of up to 10 on each green. Clubhouse will be closed, all Bowls Covid19 guidelines to be followed but also a chance to reconnect with each other on their particular green. See more

03.01.2022 Dennington Bowls Club - Bowling following easing of COVID 19 Restrictions Following advice received from BowlsVic and permission received today from Warrnambool City Council (provided the instructions are strictly observed), limited bowls can commence immediately at the club. However no competition or Social Bowls can commence until further notice; activities are limited to practice and roll-ups only, and then only 10 per green, as per instructions. The clubhouse is not allo...wed to open. Please review the instructions and organise with other member/s for some practice. Please use common sense and stay safe. PLEASE ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS 1 ONLY 10 PLAYERS ON A GREEN AT ALL TIMES 2 RINKS ARE TO BE 1.5 METERS APART WITH A MAXIMUM OF 4 PLAYERS PER RINK 3 USE DISINFECTANT ON MAT AND JACK BEFORE AND AFTER PLAY 4 NORMAL SOCIAL DISTANCING TO BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES 5 AVOID PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH OTHER PLAYERS, (NO SHAKING HANDS ETC.)
