With the Covid-19 restrictions for the coming year, fundraising will be extremely hard. This online raffle will help our club immensely. 15.01.2022 Hello out there. We will be having a practice match this Saturday, 7th November. Details: v Heidelberg West (firsts, seconds and womens).... Time: Women: 9.30am (be there by 9am) Men - 1pm (be there before 12:30pm). Please contact us by email, [email protected]. Due to Covid protocols we cannot share food and drinks. Please note that there will be no drinks or food (no afternoon tea) at the ground. Public Toilets will be open only. (no change rooms) Please bring some food for yourselves as well as drinks. 14.01.2022 Hello all, The first round for the firsts and seconds has taken place, Coach Tom Timson was happy with the endeavours of all the players. But, unfortunately we had two losses. Much to be worked on, mainly with the batting. Results can be found on MyCricket Remember, the first game for thirds and fourths is this Saturday, 21st November. I have sent an availability email out, if you did not receive this please reply to this email if you are available this Saturday. Remember a...ll games this year are one dayers. Membership is due, $80. Match fees will be $20 per week. (No pay-no play.) Masks are available. $9 each (3 for $24, 5 for $35). If you need a match shirt, hat or training top or shorts, see myself at training. Dont wait for the day of the first match to organise this. do it now. (get in-train-get out) 1) Do not come if you have any COVID symptoms, go and get tested. 2) Arrive ready to go. No access to clubrooms, only public toilets. 3) Sign in on the Attendance register on arrival. 4) Train only in groups of up to 11. Listen to instructions. 5) Sanitise your hands every 40 minutes. 6) If you are using shared equipment, sanitise equipment before and after use. 7) When training is completed Sign off. 12.01.2022 Junior Training will begin Tomorrow! Under 10s will train this Thursday from 4.30-6 Under 12s will train tomorrow from 4.30-6... Under 14s will train on Friday from 4.30-6 Under 16s will train tomorrow from 5.30-7 Looking forward to seeing everyone back in the Purple and Gold, all sessions will be at McDonnell Park.

12.01.2022 WE CAN OFFICIALLY START TRAINING!!! BUT I have attached 2 documents for you all to read.... The first is regarding a commitment by the players to follow COVID safety procedures. By coming to training you agree to do this, if you do not agree, please do not come to training. The second is an official DCC training Calendar and what to do when at training regarding COVID-19 safety procedures. I will be at training from 5:20pm, please see me before joining any training groups. Please be aware that there will be no clubroom access (public toilets will be opened). George Krokidis has had to step down as coach due to personal reasons. Tim Thompson will be our coach at this stage, please congratulate him and most importantly listen to his instructions. 09.01.2022 Now that we can gather in groups of up to 20, our women's XI celebrated a delayed presentation day - what can beat lunch and backyard cricket? Congratulations on another great season, and to our award recipients: Fielding award: speed, grit, athleticism, and 2 catches: Brenda Wong Most improved: Lynda Cormie... Bowling Award: Judi Donovan 8 wkts @23.88, BB 3/13 Batting Award: Julie Miller. 192 runs @48 Hazel Crane Team Champion Award: (hat trick!) Dani Norman, 10 wkts @11.5, BB 4/13, 171 runs@ 34.2 As we know, stats don't tell the whole story. Special Mention to Sarah Demeuse, in contention for fielding (4 catches and 2 runouts) and most improved awards, and Lisa Hui, for superb all-round talent, 6 catches, 7 wkts @28.7, and 114 runs @19. And to our junior fast-bowling cartel Rose, Eva, and Holly. Looking forward to taking the field again in a few months. Helen Gibney finished the season on a hat trick, so we wait for her first ball with baited breath!!

05.01.2022 Our senior teams enjoyed 4 wins from 5 games this weekend. The women's team had a cold and wet morning, but also found their first win of the season. L Hui (2/10 off 4) and R Stewart (1/11 off 4) led an on point bowling innings despite a wet, slippery ball. J Donovan (32) and R Thornton (25) opened the batting with a 62 run opening partnership, laying an excellent foundation for the 8 wicket win with 4 overs to spare....
