25.01.2022 Dear Clients , As we are all aware, we are in no doubt in the midst of a challenging time with the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. I would like to acknowledge the volume of information you are receiving about COVID-19 from emails, social media, friends and news outlets, along with the fact that is ever changing so quickly. As the Practice Owner, and on behalf of the entire team at Kent Town Dental, we want to reassure you that we are currently following very closely t...o the guidelines and directive from SA Health, SA Dental Service and ADA to ensure that our patients are safe when coming in for dental visits. We are updating our action plans daily in terms of infection control and working with our supplier to make sure that we have adequate masks and gloves when treating our patients. It is important to highlight that we are in a good position, as our hygiene practices are strict to prevent the spread of infection. We will also be setting up a hand hygiene station at our front desk, to allow our patients to practice good hand hygiene while visiting us. We will also be screening patients with questionnaires, and for patients who have been overseas or have developed symptoms, it is unfortunate that we will be unable to see such patients at this point in time. Once again, I want to reassure you that we are still open for business with strict infection control action plan in place. I want to thank all our patients for your patience and understanding in this time of uncertainty. I know a lot of you might be feeling anxious and worried, but the Kent Town Dental Team will be committed in looking after your oral health while keeping you safe. If you are having any dental needs/emergencies but are worried about coming in, feel free to give us a call and we will work hard to address your concerns appropriately. Best wishes, Dr Francis Wong

14.01.2022 When a decay is left untreated; although painless initially, would eventually progress deeper into the tooth, resulting in nerve damage and subsequently causing an abscess to form in the jaw. Fortunately, we were able to save this patient’s tooth with a root canal treatment. 01.01.2022 By now, we all know that wearing a face mask is one the best ways to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19. With so many of us wearing masks on a daily basis, we’re often catching a whiff of our breath all day long. If you feel like you might pass out from your own halitosis, there’s no need to be embarrassed, because you’re not alone. We all have bacteria that grow in our mouth and contribute to the smell, but the best way to combat it is with regular at-home dent...al care. This means: - Brushing your teeth regularly at least twice a day, in the morning and night. - Brushing your tongue to dislodge bacteria. - Gargling with antibacterial mouthwash. - Flossing to remove food between your teeth. Popping in a breath mint before you mask up can help, but it only masks the problem (pun intended.) If you suspect your bad breath is due to any underlying oral disease, please visit your dentist as soon as you safely can. #KentTownDental #adelaidedentists #adelaide
