25.01.2022 Our Tuesday just got better thanks to David and Leasa at OZblu Blueberries !! Once again you’ve made our day !!!!

25.01.2022 About 50 billion bacteria inhabit people's mouths. Bacteria is happiest in the plaque that sticks to the tooth surface and live mainly off sugar. This produces organic acids that dissolve the hard, roughly 2.5-millimetre thick protective layer of tooth enamel. If the germs penetrate as far as the dentin, holes can form in the teeth. Here at Dental Reflections we like to help you prevent the need for big expensive dental treatments. We recommend you come to see us every 6 mo...nths for your dental check up and scale and clean to remove the plaque and bacteria from your mouth. 20.01.2022 To help stop the spread of viruses like the flu or coronavirus good hygiene is essential. That starts with washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water... whenever you cough, sneeze or blow your nose, prepare food or eat, care for someone sick, touch your face, or use the toilet. Remember to cough or sneeze into your arm or a tissue. Bin the tissue and wash your hands. Together, we can help stop the spread and stay healthy. 20.01.2022 Due to Covid-19, our dental hygiene services are on hold (dont worry, we will be back up and running as soon as we can!) Now is the time to be focusing on home care. Brushing twice daily for 2 minutes and your preferred method for cleaning in between such as floss, Piksters, flossettes. Whichever makes it easiest for you. Whilst we arent able to physically clean your teeth at the moment, our dental hygienist Whitney is here to answer any questions you may have about... anything dental hygiene related. We are only a phone call away! If you have a dental emergency, we are still here to help. We are strictly adhering to the ADA level 3 guidelines for emergency dental treatment. See more

20.01.2022 The government has now eased dental service restrictions to 'Level 2', from the beginning of next week. The Prime Minister made the announcement a few days ago that gives dental practices the ability to attend to the needs of a broader range of treatment to our patients, not just emergencies. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon. ... From all of us at DR Dr Ina, Dr Archie, Dr Greg, Dr John, Whitney, Alicia, Courtney, Sasha and Bree

06.01.2022 School holidays can be a difficult time for kids to keep up their oral hygiene routines. Brushing twice daily keeps gums and teeth healthy. When children are only brushing once daily (or even missing days) plaque starts to accumulate. Add in a few more sugary snacks then what might be in a school lunch box and decay can start. With lots of new adult teeth coming through, it is important that children develop good brushing habits for life. (That also means easy dental checkups!)

06.01.2022 With the rate of infection continuing to grow with the spread of COVID -19, the Australian Dental Association has asked dental practices to only treat patients who have clinically necessary routine dental treatment. Please contact the clinic on 9300 1337 to speak to a staff member to determine if we can offer you an appointment at this time or we would be happy to make a time at a later date. If you have any pain, swelling, bad taste, discomfort, infection, inflammation or sensitivity Please contact us for an appointment on 9300 1337.

05.01.2022 LEST WE FORGET A brief, summarised Australian army dental history as we pause to remember those who served for our country. When WW1 broke out in 1914, the Australian army did not have dedicated dental officers. Therefore those enlisted had to have a high standard of dental health. As the war progressed and further reinforcement was required, the accepted dental fitness was lowered. This resulted in increased frequency of dental problems and disease. ... The Australian army already had dental practitioners within its ranks, working in other roles. These officers went on to purchase, or be provided by the Australian Red Cross, dental equipment to treat their fellow soldiers. Often this treatment was performed in dugouts, without a dental chair and the only treatment was extraction. Soldiers were in pain and unable to eat. By 1915, the demand for dental services was that high, the need for deployment of dental officers and dental equipment was recognised. Additionally, the importance of good dental health was upheld. By 1918, the dental health of Australian soldiers increased drastically and extraction was no longer the only treatment choice. The Royal Australian Army Dental Corps was formed in 1948 who to this date, continue to promote the importance of dental health and provide dental treatment for Australian soldiers. 02.01.2022 Protecting the health & safety of our patients and staff has always been and continues to be our utmost priority. With the rate of infection continuing to grow with the spread of COVID -19, the Australian Dental Association has instructed dental practices to restrict treatments to only treat patients who have Clinically necessary routine dental treatment and urgent dental treatment only.... Dental Reflections has made the decision to shut down until the end of April. During this time we will still be available for emergency treatment by appointment only. Please contact the clinic on 9300 1337 to speak to a staff member to determine if we can offer you an appointment at this time or we would be happy to make a time for a later date. We will continue to follow the Australian Dental Association recommendations in dealing with the risks posed by COVID-19 and will keep you updated. For the safety of our patients, staff and all families at Dental Reflections, If you have any cold and flu symptoms, have been overseas in the last 14 days or have been in close contact with someone in the last 14 days who has a confirmed case of COVID-19. Please do not attend the practice.
