16.01.2022 SNORING BEAUTY It's normal for kids to snore when they are tired isn't it? The answer to that is actually ... NO! Snoring or heavy breathing whilst sleeping, is that deep sound that one makes when their airway is blocked - that's right, snoring is due to you/your child not being able to breathe properly when sleeping. If you don't breathe well when sleeping, you/your child may not be getting a proper night's rest - and we all know how important sleep is! It's imperative for ...health and development, and this is even more important in our children. For more information, please give us a call on (03) 8899 6331 or speak to your dentist at your next appointment. #dentalatkeys #keysboroughdentist #keysborough #cranbournenorth #snoring #snoringkids #snore #snoringproblems #snoringbeauty
15.01.2022 BEFORE | AFTER Fixed braces include brackets and wires, which allow for controlled movement of your teeth; these components are fixed to the teeth during the entire course of treatment. Before putting braces on we need to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy; a complete dental check-up is the best place to start, so that we can establish records of you to prepare the right treatment for your teeth. For more information, ask your dentist at your next appointment or give us a call on (03) 8899 6331. #dentalatkeys #keysborough #keysboroughdentist #keysboroughmedicalcentre #braces #fixedbraces #before #after #ortho #orthodontics #bracesbeforeandafter
14.01.2022 LEVEL 1!! The team here at Dental at Keys would like to thank all of our dedicated staff and loyal patients for being patient, and sticking with us during these uncertain times. We would also like to announce that the Australian Government and the Australian Dental Association, have agreed that dental clinics can return to level 1 restrictions. What does this mean? It means that we have downgraded from only being able to see patients for emergency treatments, and can resume ...non-urgent services (there are restrictions surrounding this change, but please give us a call on (03) 8899 6331 for more info!) Once again, we would like to thank our loyal patients for their understanding and fortitude during this time, and we look forward to seeing you soon at your next appointment!!

08.01.2022 Digital Smile Design This patient had a very uneven gumline, teeth heights and very discoloured 2 front teeth - 2 new crowns and 4 ceramic veneers were done using computerised software to improve the levels, colour and alignment for the patient! *The final photos were done straight after the appointment so you might notice some bleeding and unhappy gums! #dentalatkeys #keysboroughdentist #keysborough #digitalsmiledesign

02.01.2022 WISDOM comes with age, and also TEETH!! Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars at the back of your mouth, and usually appear during early adulthood. In some cases, wisdom teeth are stuck below the gum and do not cause any trouble. In other cases, they can break through the gum halfway, but are unable to errupt fully due to lack of space or poor angulation. This can lead to food and bacteria becoming trapped under the gum, which can cause bouts of pain (ie. pressure, sharp pa...in) and inflammation. The best way to find out about your wisdom teeth (if you have them!), is to have a chat with your dentist at your next appointment, or give us a call on (03) 8899 6331 #dentalatkeys #keysboroughdentist #dentist #keysborough #keysboroughmedicalcentre #wisdom #teeth #wisdomteeth #wisdomteethremoval #wisdomtoothextraction #wisdomteethsurgery #wisdomteethout #wisdomteethproblems
01.01.2022 FLOSSING (and we don't mean the dance!) Flossing your teeth is equally as important as brushing twice a day - if you don't floss, you will miss about 30% of the tooth's surfaces. These areas are a potential cavity waiting to happen. You'll notice as well, that your gums bleed more easily if you haven't flossed for a while. We recommend running the floss around your middle fingers, using your index finger &/or thumb to run the floss down between your teeth in a slow, gentle, s...awing motion. If you have large gaps between your teeth, interdental brushes like Piksters are much easier! #dentalatkeys #keysboroughdentist #keysborough #flossing #flossyourteeth #flossdance #flosslikeaboss #flossingteeth #flossingisimportant #flossingiscool #pikstersinterdentalbrush #pikstersbrush
