After this has been discussed, you will need to sign a consent form. 4.When the dental provider has provided the services agreed for your child, they will either bulk bill you or charge you for the services. 11.01.2022 UPDATE: July 9th 2020 Melbourne has now moved to Level 2 dental practice restrictions on the recommendation given out by the Australian Dental Association of Victoria. This means that we are able to perform the majority of dental treatments except teeth cleaning (scale and clean). If you have a regular check-up and clean appointment already made, we’ll be contacting you close to date to advise you on the changes. If you wish to make an appointment for a examination and clean,... we are able to do the examination and the clean will be deferred until restrictions are lifted. We always follow universal infection control standards in every part of our clinic and will continue to implement extra measures at this time. As a part of this we have closed our waiting room, patients are asked to wait in their car until they're called to come in and are brought straight into the surgery. We appreciate your understanding. To protect our staff and patients, before you make an appointment, we ask that you advise us if, in the past 14 days, you have flu like symptoms or have traveled overseas, or have been in contact with someone who has met these criteria. If you have been tested for COVID-19 and is still waiting for your result please call us to re-schedule your appointment. 05.01.2022 Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme by Dr. Mathew Wang In 2014, benefits for basic dental services are capped at $1,000 per child over 2 consecutive calendar years. If you do not use all of your $1,000 benefit in the first year of eligibility, you can use it in the second year if you are still eligible. Any remaining balance will not be carried forward at the end of the second year.... Benefits will cover a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital. Child Dental Benefits Schedule services will not count towards the Medicare Safety Net or the Extended Medicare Safety Net thresholds.
