24.01.2022 Bromance end of day feels. Katelyn is a bro

24.01.2022 Very disappointing Australian government to learn of this during NAIDOC week . It is sad to see that the leadership in our country is still so stagnate, unapologetic and unempathetic to the First Nations people. History just is. We can't change it but what decisions we make moving forward can help reconcile the devastation that was imposed upon our First People. Have a read and start the discussions with your children now. I am hopeful for the younger generations coming t...hrough. They are open-hearted and smart; intellectually and emotionally. We will aim to have the Aboriginal flag flying proudly above the Margate clinic early 2021. Dr Jess <3 https://www.google.com.au//8d747fbb-7661-4ac2-b726-72ddc55

22.01.2022 Happy Friday beautiful people.

22.01.2022 Dr Jess Manuela was featured in the December issue "Bite" magazine which is a national publication for her work in the community in dentistry and beyond. Well done, good to see there are dentists in the community that do more than teeth and really care about changing health outcomes in local communities and indigenous communities whilst providing a safe and warm environment for staff and patients. https://issuu.com/engagemedia/docs/bite_december_2020/2?ff

10.01.2022 Our Dr Jess was in the Sunday Mercury yesterday for her efforts during the height of COVID. She and her team tried their best to keep the doors open and stay employed, and they got through the thick of it together with a 100% return to work of all the Dental South family. Thanks Julie, Blackmans Bay Practice Manager, for nominating Dr Jess.

10.01.2022 It's a positive step in the right direction Australia. Well done to the Australian Wallabies Rugby team for singing the National Anthem in the Aboriginal Yuin-Kuric language of the people from that area in Sydney before the clash with Argentina last night . This is the first time a joint-language anthem was preformed at an international sporting event in Australia for First People acknowledgement. New Zealand has been singing the National Anthem in the native Maori langu...age first, then in English, for decades. This shows RESPECT to the First People and to the world. And followed by the haka you can feel how proud Maori and non-Maori people are of their First People's culture. Well done Australia for finally taking a baby step in the right direction. Next a change of lyrics so that it may be sensitive to the ancestors and First Nations People would be respectful. As a First Nations woman, changes like this seem obvious. And it is important that our immigrant and white Australian friends and allies do their own work on any racist belief systems that impede your action and help in restoring Australia to being respectful and proud of our rich, incredibly old Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Love Dr Jess Manuela https://www.google.com//wallabies-make-history-as-first-au

02.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 Sunday 8th Nov- Sunday 15th Nov Always Was, Always Will Be. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations.... It’s about seeing, hearing and learning the First Nations’ 65,000+ year history of this country - which is Australian history. We want all Australians to celebrate that we have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet and to recognise that our sovereignty was never ceded.
