Use a small pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste on a good quality toothbrush - making sure that your child spits out all of the toothpaste after brushing. 2. Make sure your child brushes for at least 2 minutes morning and night. 3. As soon as your childs teeth start touching, its important to start flossing.... 4. 11.01.2022 Life has not been easy for everyone in this country in this last couple months. Weve all got affected by the unexpected pandemic in many ways, our lifestyles, work, mental and physical health. Personally, I have been experienced many different aspects of this emotional roller coaster in the last few months. From feeling anxious and confused, to feeling angry and depressed. I am worried about the health of people surrounding me, how my business would survive this crisis, and... how to fulfil my responsibility to my patients. Because we deal with blood, saliva and aerosol everyday, everyone in this industry is on the front line. Since the very beginning of this pandemic, we have implemented many additional infection control measures to reduce, greatly reduce everyones risk. By the end of March, Dental council issued restriction to all dentists preventing us to do many, many treatments that patients needed. Because of this new restriction, many dentists are now facing so many clinical, ethical and financial dilemmas. This restriction has practically put many, many dentists out of work, including myself. Dental industry is not immune to this health and economic crisis, unfortunately. I share the concerns of many small business owners, how to pay the fixed expenses without cashflow and income, how to keep my staff on the payroll so they can pay rent (particularly none of them is eligible for job keeper payments), how to bring my patients back to the business, how long it will take before my business will be back on its feet. It feels that everything is back to square one after 3 years in business. But, I know I am not in this alone. We are all in this together. We are all fighting to survive. And I know, we will all come out to be a better, wiser person/dentist/business owner at the end of this crisis. Silver linings of this crisis? Too many. I have time to exercise now, to spend time with family, and, very importantly, to reconnect with myself. I will very soon see all of you again at Dentist Mandy.
