22.01.2022 Don't be afraid to be beautiful. You might not necessarily think that a school event lends itself to cinematic imagery, but when we created a short video to commemorate Ivanhoe Grammar's Centenery event, we merged run-and-gun documentary with beautiful cinematic style. This form takes strong pre-production, specialised equipment and talented DOPs to make it work - but fortunately, our partnership with the very talented Mountain Goats videographers means we can offer this lev...el of cinema to any event. #ivanhoe #school #schoolevent #video #marketing #content #contentstrategy #documentary #mountaingoats #education

21.01.2022 Focus on people and the stories tell themselves. Working with Mastercard to create a video highlighting best practice in event activation, we knew that the best way to show an effective event was to show people having an amazing time. We followed different groups of people as they encountered rewards, surprises and exclusive experiences reserved for Mastercard holders. The resulting content was shown at Mastercard offices through-out the world.

17.01.2022 Agility in comms is essential. We're strong believers in solid planning and pre-production stages - but when you need us immediately, we're there. DOTF were commissioned by The Song Room to create a TVC on their PlayAIR campaign to be broadcast nationally. Working with @jimmybarnesofficial , we developed, created and executed this campaign within a week. ... We were able to organise a shoot with Jimmy and his band and shoot all of the video content within a day. See more

This year we put our energy behind and funding a half hour documentary "Always Was Always Will Be". 12.01.2022 Proud of our involvement with Melbourne Polytechnic

10.01.2022 "Embracing new formats is essential to keeping your content fresh. We worked with Our Watch to spread a message about gender equality using the (then!) emerging ""screen recording"" video style. Casey Burchelle, Our Watch's Marketing and Communication Advisor said, ""Thank you DOTF team! This project ran really smoothly and we really appreciate how quickly you turned everything around. This type of video content was a first for the Because Why campaign and we so appreciate your input, including challenging us on our thinking. The final as sets are exactly to brief couldn’t ask for much more!"

08.01.2022 Humour is a strong source of connection. Working with Lend.com.au was a step out of our usual world of documentary and into surrealism. Developed to meet Lend's primary brand recognition needs, we created three short ads from concept to completion. We loved the opportunity to create content in a style and space outside of our usual work - and the results definitely show this, with the videos gaining over 400K views within the initial 4-week campaign.

07.01.2022 Step out of the box whenever you can. Embrace the opportunities to create something a little strange and fun. Working with Melbourne Fringe Festival, they offered a "Fringe Fortune" service. We had a great time creating this mystical video to explain the service and set the appropriate magical mood for Fringe patrons.

04.01.2022 If you want to really connect with an audience, you need to talk to them in their own voice - which is why The Line's Asking for a Mate campaign connected so well with the youth audience. Targeted at young people aged 12-20 who are sexually active, the goal of the campaign was to encourage openness amongst peers to talk about issues related to sex, in order to destigmatize these discussions and reduce harmful behaviours around shaming and consent. In addition to the webseries, our team created a deck of cards based on the questions asked to the teens in order to take the conversation further - into school health classes and youth groups.

04.01.2022 Your point of difference is key to great comms. Federation Training offers vocational education to regional Victorian students. With multiple campuses around the state and a wide range of offerings, when we created brand videos and content, we combined an emphasis on great facilities and course variety with a strong presence of unique regional benefits, such as serene scenery, access to waterways, on location work experience. These points of difference help Federation Training to stand out as an option, not only for regional Victorian students, but for students from anywhere, looking for these unique experiences.
