05.01.2022 Shhh... Can you keep a secret? We're not exactly proud to admit it but... we love slippers. Because really, how does anyone get through winter without a pair of comfortable, fuzzy slippers? If your first thought was, "Is this really secret-worthy?" - think again. Slippers typically offer little to no support for your foot structure and are the perfect breeding ground for all sorts of bacteria. And with Covid-19, most of us are spending a lot more time in our slippers than u...sual. Here are some things we keep in mind when wearing our slippers: 1. Smell is a good indicator of bacteria growing. Take a good whiff every once in awhile to make sure you're not placing your feet in a bacteria minefield. 2. Wear socks! This will help cut down on the amount of sweat that is left on your slippers. 3. Give them some Vitamin D The sun can help prevent bacteria from building up. 4. Listen to your feet! If they start to feel fatigued from the lack of support, trade those slippers for some more supportive shoes like sneakers.

A reminder that all Dan Everson Podiatry clinics remain open to provide quality foot-care to those who need it during this challenging time.... We are here to help wherever we can. We’re all in this together.

01.01.2022 Did you know that approximately 95% of people are born with healthy feet? Of course, living life can change this drastically as many of us have experienced - particularly with lingering injuries. But have you ever considered that your shoes could determine how your feet fare over your lifetime? We’re accustomed to wearing shoes from such a young age but is this hurting more than helping? We’re curious - what do you think? Let us know in the comments!
