A WA Government app, SafeWA, is available to provide patrons and businesses with a free, convenient digital option for contact registration. By downloading the SafeWA app, you will be able to scan a QR code to register your details at any venue you attend which is using the app. Some businesses may choose to use a different electronic or paper-based system and all businesses must register visitors who choose not to use the app. These measures will help to protect you and your fellow Western Australians. 13.01.2022 ‘Alluvial Gold’ is an extraordinary multi-media project currently being developed by well-known visual artist Erin Coates. Erin takes aspects of the ecology of the Swan River (Derbarl Yerrigan) as her starting point. The transference of matter into and out of the river and subsequent impact on estuarine ecology informs my new artwork.... A key component of this project has been my collaboration with composer Stuart James and percussionist Louise Devenish, who are using my sculptural works as musical instruments to devise a new song cycle. The solo exhibition by Erin is a part of her Tilt residency at Heathcote Cultural Precinct in late 2020. 04.01.2022 The State Government announced mandatory contact registers at relevant businesses and venues will be introduced from 5 December 2020. Businesses or venues required to keep a contact register, will include: indoor sporting centres and pools funeral parlours... galleries and museums theatres and other entertainment venues community facilities, libraries and halls function centres accommodation facilities that already have check-in arrangements in place (for example, large campgrounds). To assist businesses, the State Government has released a free, safe and secure app called SafeWA. Endorsed by the Department of Health, the app provides businesses and venues a unique QR code for patrons to scan to register their attendance.
