25.01.2022 Derinya children are invited to get LOUD and wear their wackiest shirt this Friday to help raise much needed awareness and funds for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Taralye is an oral language centre for deaf children and a service of the Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind Children and they would love to see many crazy shirts across Victoria this Friday. Look in the dress up box, find an old shirt that is bright and fun or borrow one from someone. Have some fun and show that loud can be visual as well as vocal. It is time for some visual noise! If you all give a gold coin donation to the school this Friday when wearing your colours, we will give a Derinya Donation as a collective. If everyone gives a little we will make a wonderful difference!

Take a photo of yourself in the place where you are happiest and email to [email protected] All students who enter will go into the draw for a home delivered family dinner on the holidays. We are making a display in the foyer of your happy faces in happy places. Some great photos received already!!! Comp closes Friday 18th September.

10.01.2022 Dear Parents, COVID 19 still apparent. Best to keep children home where possible next week. For those who aren’t able to, the booking form for next week at school is on the Derinya website. Forms due by 6pm Saturday night emailed to the Derinya email. You will receive confirmation and instructions on Sunday. Stay safe everyone!! It’s not over just yet!! We will keep in touch with regular family updates.

06.01.2022 Support Wildlife Warrior Rosie in Grade 1 as she raises money to help Australia's endangered and vulnerable turtle population. She has been working hard on this passion project during lockdown and we'd love everyone to get behind her. She has a limited amount of her own hand-made cards to sell. All proceeds will go to the WWF. Cards are $5 each and Rosie will be selling them at school this Friday.
