23.01.2022 Beethoven's Ninth in all its socially distanced glory! This past Sunday we finished our Beethoven's Symphonies Project with his most spectacular, the ninth. Performed with orchestra, choir and fantastic soloists.... Just no audience. Sadly COVID meant there was no room in the Hobart Town Hall for an audience, but the opportunity to play this exciting work was no less enjoyable. 22.01.2022 It's great to have an opportunity to be able to come together to play music during these strange times. Celebrating 250 years of Beethoven we're working our way through Beethoven's symphonies, tonight number seven. From next week we begin a collaborative project on symphony number nine. With the orchestra in good numbers, it should be a fun project.

14.01.2022 It's good to be back! Exactly three months after we said goodbye to our orchestra friends, it's great to be back rehearsing. It's been three long months of uncertainty and we're still not sure when we can share the music with an audience again. But for the time being, it's good to be back, it's good to be playing music together again. We hope to share the music with you again soon. Next week the full orchestra returns. 05.01.2022 Well this is exciting, DSO is coming back! From June 15th we'll be starting up rehearsals again, all be it in a slightly different way from normal. Rehearsals on the 15th will begin just with strings, with winds to join at a later date. Keep an eye on your email for full details, if you're a player who hasn't received any information yet, let us know and we'll add you to the mailing list.
