25.01.2022 With fresh rains comes fresh work Senior art worker Sharon Butcher Napanangka has painted Kapi Tjukurrpa (Water Dreaming). She says that it is a depiction of the Waterholes and creeks around Papunya when it’s been raining. ... When it’s rain time, and we go swimming, we look with our eyes to see if there is water there in the creek after the rain. Sometimes I paint but my dreaming is bush banana. I like the idea of painting landscapes on a skirt format. We wanted to do something different, not to paint on square boards all the time.
