20.01.2022 White Linen in the warmer today. A new scent I got because Wash Day Breeze was out of stock. Similar smelling, not as strong washing powder scent as the other. White Linen A surprise of red tulips and rosebloom with notes of jasmine and gardenia. Snow-white flowers blended with a hint of fresh ripened raspberry.

16.01.2022 Pouring day tomorrow Wednesday 19th, for those that are local get your empties washed and drop off tonight or in the morning for refilling. Due to the supply shortage I have had to order different scents just to keep a range in stock. Today I opened up a bottle, smelt it and immediately thought how much I miss Bali and their amazing cocktails. This one I am calling Pina Colada. I swear it’s that same smell. A fresh, fruity combination of papaya, mango, lime and watermelon... combined with the essential tropical note of coconut. Testing tomorrow. I am hoping it burns as good as it smells now. Will remind us of our travels and the warmer weather. See more

12.01.2022 What a weekend! We finally made it home from Kadina/Wallaroo/Moonta. Great seeing everybody, old and new faces. Kadina Market was successful for us so we’ll be back for the next one on March 27th. Thank you to all that popped by to purchase and say hi. Best thing about the long drive home is the chance to shop for new jars. Sneak peek of a few I have ordered. Bath Bombs are coming too. Now to unpack the candle room.

07.01.2022 Testing. So yesterday as I started pouring the new Pina Colada to try the postie rocked up with yet another parcel while Scott was home! Turns out I had ordered 2 bottles of Lychee & Black Tea scent. Never tried this before but I have heard other chandlers say it is very popular. So I quickly put some in my warmer and made some candles up. It is a gorgeous scent and will definitely be staying on the scent list. I have a candle lit in it today also. Even Scott likes it! 05.01.2022 Hi Everyone, It’s been a challenging year for so many businesses, my industry is currently struggling due to suppliers running out of raw materials . They are restocking but sadly have increased their prices many over 40% this will effect many makers in the industry as we simply cannot afford to purchase some lines . ... I’ll do my best to manage my costs while continuing to do what I love and be affordable , however some prices will increase as a result of this which is unavoidable . Unfortunately refill pricing will also increase. I’m doing my best to source raw materials from other suppliers so I can continue to offer great value in my range for you all . I will be reducing the amount and alternating the scents I carry as some are not available & others have increased so much in price. While we are attending to the sticky points of the business let’s talk refill service. All jars need to be washed (except the wick tab if you can’t get that out) and ready for refill. I spend way to much time cleaning jars. If it is not washed I can no longer offer the refill discount. Easiest way to clean your jars is to scrape out any excess wax first then wash in as hot as possible water in the sink with dishwashing detergent. 05.01.2022 Last week I was asked by Olympic Dam Sporting Club to make some candles in memory of their Life member and past president Kym Clarke who recently passed away. Proud to say Desert Scents donated $295 (30%) of the sales to the Heart Foundation in Kym’s memory. Thank you to all that purchased. Thanks to Kylie Green for coordinating.
