18.01.2022 My son told me I need therapy.... But succulents are my therapy

15.01.2022 I'm seeing so many posts in groups with peoples plants rotting in the last 2 weeks Just remember, you can always add more water to a pot, but once you've saturated it & forget about it for a few days, root rot begins & leaves start turning yellow & drop off. Too much water attracts fungus gnats, mould, fungus & rot.... Make sure you have plenty of drainage holes & dont water them on a hot day or you'll cause a sauna in your pot & the leaves will drop off. Also, If you put pebbles on as a top dressing, it acts as a mulch & traps moisture in your pot which stops air flow. If your pot is too wide/deep then it won't dry fast because their so much organic matter in the pot that holds way too much water for smaller succulents to absorb. I water lightly once a week & my seedlings & pups get sprayed twice a week. Happy Gardening

14.01.2022 My veriagated Mr Graptoveria Fred Ives is growing so well now the weather is warming up

14.01.2022 Propagating is so rewarding when you see all these babies growing so healthy

14.01.2022 I just noticed my Pachyveria Myrtilla has 2 veriagated leaves in its new growth. Ive never seen a full veriagated one before, have you? I hate touching my plants with my fingers & wiping the farina off, but I had too, to make sure it wasn't a scar.

14.01.2022 One of my compton carousels has its first baby

13.01.2022 After 4 failed attempts at growing this Callisia Repens Pink Panther over time, I finally got these 2 drama queens flourishing beautifully. Shes a stubborn one, but I'm much more stubborn

12.01.2022 Little Pachysedum Ganzhou chubby bubbas growing nicely

10.01.2022 My veriagated Purple Pearl has full veriagated new growth coming through

09.01.2022 I'm lucky there's no such thing as succulent welfare or I would have had them all taken from me today One of my walk in green houses took flight a few weeks ago & I couldn't stand looking at all the bumps, cuts & bruises on some of my plants from them flying like kites. So I plucked leaves & did more head chops. It looks like I'm propagating even more plants than I planned this year Their spread all over my house, laundry & front verandah lol

08.01.2022 NFS! Just sharing pretty photos on this rainy yucky day

01.01.2022 I was taught to never take lollies from a stranger, but no one said anything about a van full of variegated succulents

01.01.2022 The old drama queen Echeveria Jelly Jam. My second time propagating them successfully. These aren't easy to propagate from leaves or even get off the stem, but finally they have roots poor things look like they've been run over by a bus
