18.01.2022 On this international women’s day I thought it time to introduce myself and tell you a little more about what we do at Desert Rose. That’s my beautiful daughter in the photo, she is currently drawing up sketches and plans for her next birthday party that no boys are allowed at (her brother has other ideas). The woman showing a little too much leg (I swear I didn’t do it on purpose!!) beside that cutie is me. My name is Natalie and I am the founder and head stylist of Deser...t Rose. My passions along with my two beautiful children and husband include travel, weddings and all things style and design. With Desert Rose I am able to incorporate all my loves in one. Styling for me is not just about throwing a party, it’s about telling a story. Every piece I choose to include in my events tells a story, to you it may just be a cheese knife but to me it’s a cheese knife handmade by female artisans in India or hand crafted lanterns by potters carried all the way back from the Greek islands. I really believe these personal touches take a party and make it something unique. I am so passionate about making your event part of your story. I have lived in cairns and tablelands for 15 years and I am completely in love with our beautifully diverse lands. This is why we specialise in outdoor events, this way we can highlight just how stunning our area is!
