Have you noticed someone who might be struggling?... Ask the question, let them answer. Listen with an open mind and do not fret if you don’t have answers for them - listening to their experience is often enough. If they pause, don't interject or change the subject. Be patient, try asking more questions, let them know you’re listening and that you’re there to help. Encourage an action plan to address any problems and be positive about the role of professionals in getting through tough times. Check in regularly with your mates, your family, your coworkers. Check on your tough friends, the quiet ones, the busy ones, and yes, even the happy ones. And if you need someone to check on you, I am here for you and I will hold space for you any day of the year!
