14.01.2022 We are so very lucky to work with some great clients ... people that I love to see and be around.. they trust us to create their homes and their sacred spaces .. it’s not all smooth sailing, sometimes we bicker like siblings, poke fun at each other like mates and have heated discussions about cushions.. but more times than not we have a good belly laugh .. and I deeply appreciate their trust in me... so very lucky

Just the way this master bedroom came together ... the rest of the renovation was complete , but over a couple of months and several trips we bought one or 2 pieces at a time , we tried different things until we could finally stand back and say ‘yep’ that’s it .. @mayphotography_au @ Gold Coast, Queensland

10.01.2022 THE story behind these floating shelves ... one of the columns disguises a structural post ... we could have removed the post but then we would have had to remove the ceiling , install a very big steel beam , which meant we had to lower the ceiling to conceal it , then resheet, plaster , and paint ... the cost didn’t justify the benefit so instead we built another ‘fake’ column and installed the floating shelves which helped define the dining space , and were also functional acting as a sideboard ... win win @mayphotography_au @ Gold Coast, Queensland

08.01.2022 SLIDING into Wednesday with a bench seat and floating shelves

08.01.2022 So 2 days ago I was composing a grateful post about the year that had been.. I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all the wonderful clients of 2020 that let us spread our design wings and trusted us to bring innovative and inspiring designs to life ... thank you .. I wanted to say a huge thank you to my amazing offsider kendra ... @inside_places she’s loud, vibrant, inspiring, ridiculously loyal and I love her Then I wanted to say to the rest of the world .. be kind... ...simple .. our 3 week holiday has been unexpectedly and abruptly brought to an end ... suddenly we found ourselves on the edge of the extended nsw hotspot. So told to get home .. with half hour to pack up and get onto the 8 hr drive .. we would make it to the border with half hour to spare then we broke down... on the side of the highway , at 11pm.. no mechanics , no hotels .. we had to sleep in the car and deal with it in the morning .. but the kindness of others is what is getting us home .. at 11pm the lady at the servo calls her mechanic friend .. he comes and sees us and tells us where all the mechanics are and to start calling first thing ... he offered us a bed and shower if we were stuck for another night ... we find a mechanic who can look at the car straight away for us , we call a tow truck who can be there in 10 mins ) and so 3 hours later we are back on road to reach our border .. we will have to self isolate for 14 days but in our own home - not in a 4x4 hotel room .. there’s always a bright side.. and we have the kindness of others to thank for that ... So thank you Dee, Doug, Troy, and Andrew for your kindness .. we will , and always try to pay it forward ... @ Harwood, New South Wales, Australia
