18.01.2022 Were well into the New Year, and I genuinely hope youre moving towards the health and fitness goals you set for 2020. If youre not moving forward, or feel like the wheels have already come off, youre not alone. When setting goals, we often think we need to overhaul everything at once. We go from no training, to 5 sessions a week, and from not planning our nutrition at all to thinking we need to plan 7 days in advance and spend all day Sunday doing food prep. Making... these huge changes all at once is setting yourself up to fail! Were here to help you make gradual and sustainable changes that will soon become your new healthy daily habits, and its actually what we love to do! What is gorgeous is now when we say lets all do a down dog, all the children know this yoga move. This week Miss Ivana is on a course but we are looking forward to Miss Merinda coming in and taking the class. If you would like your little one to experience Pilates, we run this at no extra cost on a Friday at the centre. 09.01.2022 I have been training with Designer Body now for 4 years, and the amount of knowledge and confidence I have attained from them has been life changing. They helped me achieve a much needed 16kg weight loss, and I am still in control of that weight loss due to knowing the measures I need to take in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Merinda and the other trainers are not about fad diets and starving yourself, instead they are amazing at providing support and motivation and tailoring their program to suit each individual. I could not be where I am today without them and I will be forever grateful!

09.01.2022 More amazing results, and feedback from our 8 week challenge!! Congratulations Lucy, super proud of everything youve achieved! LUCYS FEEDBACK I really enjoyed the fortnightly team challenges. Steph programmed some killer workouts which I loved.... I also loved that we didnt feel alone and that we had support the whole way through whether it was from Merinda, Steph, Ivana, Ash, or everyone participating in the challenge. The recipes and meal ideas shared on the community page were great, and I liked that we could post our food too, it made it less like a chore and more something I wanted to do at the end of the day. Small wins Wednesday was great too as it made you reflect on your week and see that even the little things count. I am super proud of myself for taking part in this as its not something I ever thought I could do or stick to, but I have and am super happy with my before and after photos. Ive not only noticed the difference through the pictures but also in my energy levels I feel so much better within my body, mind and always look to the healthier options now instead of the bad choices. Again, a huge thank you!! Cant wait for the next one!

09.01.2022 With 2021 just around the corner, I wanted to share some helpful tips on goal setting. I’m hoping you find these tips not only useful towards achieving your goals, but enjoying the journey too. 1. It’s so important to set realistic goals for yourself. Unfortunately, I sometimes see people put so much pressure on themselves to achieve unrealistic goals, it causes them to feel defeated, unmotivated and eventually give up. Set yourself some small, achievable goals. This will al...low you to build momentum, and confidence, and will cause a snowball effect towards your bigger goals. 2. Make your goals known. Write them down, have them posted somewhere you can view them everyday, and remind yourself why these goals are important to you. 3. Do not compare yourself to others. It really is the thief of happiness. We all have our own unique strengths, challenges and set of goals that are important to us, so comparing yourself to others really is a waste of your important energy. 4. Surround yourself with people that want to see you succeed! People that want the best for you, those that motivate you, push you to do your best, and leave you feeling happy and feeling that you CAN achieve your important goals. The last point is so important, and here at Designer Body we have the best support crew that genuinely want to see you to succeed. Not only do you have us trainers in your corner, you’ll have our wonderful community filled with members that will celebrate all your wins with you. If you have health and fitness goals, not only will we get you there, but you’re guaranteed to enjoy the journey too!

Below are a few suggestions for a great Sunday, that will also set you up for an amazing week, moving towards your health and fitness goals! 1 Book in a workout with a friend 2 Schedule your training sessions and write them in your diary 3 Put together a plan of meals/snacks ...for the week ahead(or even just for the next 2-3 days)and ensure you have only these options in your fridge/pantry 4 Prepare a healthy nutrient dense dinner for Sunday night, and make extra so you have some healthy leftovers for Monday lunch 5 Get to bed early to ensure youre getting 7 or more uninterrupted hours of sleep. All these little things will have you feeling good when that alarm goes off on Monday morning, and will not only leave you feeling motivated to chase your goals, it will make your week easier. 01.01.2022 A few reasons why you should get outside and train with us this winter!! Winter is definitely here, and in the cold months its harder to stay motivated and dedicated to your health and fitness goals. Below are just a few reasons why you should brave the cold and join us for some outdoor training! MENTAL HEALTH... In winter we tend to feel less motivated which results in us hibernating inside, and that can lead to feeling lonely or even a little depressed. Exercise releases all those feel good hormones, add those to being in the great outdoors, with a great bunch of like minded people, and youll notice a big change in your mood. IMMUNE SYSTEM Research has shown that the more physically fit and active you are, the less likely youre to suffer colds in the winter months. Training outdoors, breathing in all that fresh air, helps your immune system fight off disease more effectively due to healthier white blood cells. It also supplies your immune system with the oxygen it needs to kill and destroy bacteria, viruses and germs. WEIGHT GAIN I read today that the average person gains 4kg during winter!!! We tend to curl up on the lounge, eat comfort food and maybe brave the cold heading out for a wine and dinner with friends. All these things can make us feel good, but only for a little while, and then the guilt sets in. Training regularly throughout the colder months can help you avoid the winter weight gain. We offer 6am sessions where you can watch the sun rise over Nepean River whilst training; 9.30am sessions where the sun is out and you cant help but soak up all that Vitamin D (another great reason to train outdoors in winter), and evening classes that will leave you feeling motivated to go home and cook a healthy winter meal. I really hope this has left you feeling motivated to get outside and make the most of training outdoors this winter.
