25.01.2022 My opening hours remain the same, thats the good thing about working from home! I want to let you all know that I take practical measures to protect us from this awful virus and ensure highest standards of hygiene are enforced. 25.01.2022 Designer Tan is still closed but Im confident as the restrictions ease, Ill be able to open. Ive had an email from the Ministers Office stating "Not yet" but Ive reinforced my request as a home-based, owner operated, detached salon, to consider me in the first round of businesses to be allowed to open....Fingers are crossed. Stay safe everyone.

21.01.2022 I received an email reply from the Ministers Office on my request for an exemption to the restriction on doing spray tans. Request denied, but they will consider my request to be one of the first to open when restrictions start to ease. They agreed that as I have no staff, work from home, dont have physical contact with clients or clients in a waiting room, that I have a case for possibly being able to open when they review lifting restrictions. Im happy with this, I dont expect favourable treatment, I also applaud everyone doing their best to do right by each other & not spread the virus, I am diligent with this, I would hope I am viewed the same as a hairdresser or barber shop & given the same consideration. I miss all my clients & look forward to tanning you when socialising, partying & holidaying is allowed. Bring it on!!

21.01.2022 This is what I will be doing next week (Will check my phone occasionally though). Taking a quick break with the family before the busy silly season. Im away Tuesday 8th October to Tuesday 15th October. Taking bookings from 8am Wednesday 16th October.

19.01.2022 Usually in another country.....my next trip away will be local, just up to Caloundra for a week from 8th to 15th October. My availability is all shown on my online booking. Thursday nights have been fully booked last 2 weeks between 6pm & 8pm, so book in early!!

18.01.2022 So it seems every type of beauty service can open in Qld today EXCEPT spray tanning and tattooing salons. I can re-open on June 12 according to the Qld Premiers page. Back to the couch, see you all in June

07.01.2022 December is nearly upon us Ive opened up bookings for Xmas Eve (normally Tuesday is my day off). So you can book your tan right up to late on 24 Dec, including Sun 22nd & Mon 23rd. Hope youve got lots of Xmas parties beforehand.

05.01.2022 Its just been announced that tanning salons will close as of midnight Wed night. Ill be available till 8pm (or later if needed) tomorrow night to do tans. Then Ill see you all again when this awful virus is contained.

05.01.2022 Decided to take my Mum away for 2 nights as shes struggling through almost 8weeks of isolation. Checked the latest info on the restrictions to find out I can open tomorrow. Great news but would have liked a bit more notice Premier Palasczuk!! I wont disappoint my Mum so I will be back, ready to start tanning on Wednesday. Woohoo.

04.01.2022 Ive sent a request to the state & federal ministers to exempt my salon from restriction as I dont have physical contact, spend less than 10mins with clients, dont have more than 1 client at a time, sanitize after each client, am not in a high traffic area, dont have any staff & touchless payment system. I will also ask if theyve been overseas or in contact with anyone who has been. If its good enough for barbers & hairdressers, I dont see why its not applicable for me. Be safe, be responsible, be considerate. We will get through this.
