07.01.2022 This week we’re focusing on website speed. We’ll share some tips and some of our tools we’ve found really handy to help is optimise the website and reduce the page load time. Today’s tip is to optimise and resize your images.... Images can be a huge killer for website. We all want our website looking good, but we can’t do it at the detriment of the speed of your website. So what can you do? For those using Wordpress, one answer is to install WP Smush in your site. Smush searches through your files and locates the problem images. It will compress these so that you won’t visually see any difference to the quality of the image but cut down those much needed file sizes for loading. You can also apply lazy loading, which means loading the site content whilst the image continues to load slower. This helps keeps your user on your site with your relevant content. So, there’s really no hard and fast rule, except focus on what your audience might be looking for... Include some ones maybe your competitors that are successful use and... Then have a few each time to test the waters... PS. Don’t use the most popular ones eg.
