02.01.2022 We take inspiration from beautifully curated artworks and details around us. Olga De Amaral's beautiful architectural tapestry is titled 'Alquimia XXV'. The textured gold leaf tapestry is elegant, timeless and represents a part of her heritage she explored as an artist. With reference to the tapestry and its meaning our aim is to blur the lines between fine art, craft, design and innovation in creating a crafted installation piece to define Meat & Wine Co in Australias cap...ital, Canberra. The inspiration of the artwork and lead us to blend Meat & Wine Co's African heritage and roots into the restaurants physical environment as the main attraction of the area. The intention is to bring a sense of African nostalgia and richness into the design, with modern-day innovation fit for the brand. This will be done by creating a layered installation that combines various shades of brown textured leathers, gold dipped textured panels and concealed LED lighting making it the hero of the environment.
