At DESIM we are Certified Passive House designers. We also have long experience in delivering projects efficiently, within budget and on time.

05.01.2022 Some of previous and current projects we are involved in

05.01.2022 Time to concentrate on dealing with adaptation to this continent's changing climate.

03.01.2022 One of our long term projects, currently in research phase is a village of North Arm Cove and its "paper subdivision" future. Today, Mid-Coast Council has put on public exhibition their zoning strategy. It doesn't look like this strategy reflects impacts of changing climate in their proposal. Danger is that due to poor risk assessment and planning people's lives will be put at risk once again and many resources wrongly invested. Our R&D Team is working on developing tools for... improving preparations of this kind of strategies for the sake of better adaptation to specifics of local environment. https://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Hav/Zoning-in-on-our-future

01.01.2022 ABC's 7.30 on Thursday 23rd January 2020 had an excellent report on Passive House. It pointed out what is most relevant to most people - massive saving on electricity bills. It is worth pointing out few additional facts about Passive House standard: - It doesn't have to cost a cent extra over a client's budget if competent designer and builder are engaged.... - Any type of building can be built to Passive House standard. Commercial properties or apartments can reduce their power bills too. - Healthy, hygienic homes/buildings - without dust, mold, pollen and always comfortable temperature - reduces health bills and overall misery of related sickness. - Quality control is built into the standard - it requires quality control during design, documentation and construction , as well as testing of performance. End product is a home/building of better quality that would last longer. Link to ABC program: https://iview.abc.net.au//7-30/series/0/video/NC2001H012S00
