It reached over 50,000 of you and was shared 578 times. The power of social media being used for good! ---------------------------------------------- Some very disgraceful news coming from Valla RFB. STOLEN from Valla Rural Fire Brigade this morning. 15/1/21. Silver Toyota Landcruiser CD 36 WS. One of our fellow firefighters was at their station in Valla working . Someones car broke down and he went to help. The driver then repaid his kindness by stealing his car which also had all his turnout gear!!! Valla sticker on back window and towbar. Crack on front passenger side windscreen. Please contact or police if you see it anywhere.

The extra number of buildings and the clearing in... the background indicate this undated photo, simply captioned 'Sports Day', was taken at a later date. The lack of sports attire and the number of Union Jack flags may indicate the picture was, in fact, taken during Empire Day celebrations. See more

13.01.2022 Unfortunately, like many shots this amazing photo of the D.Harris Trade Palace and Noble & Co's Auctioneers office donated by Eric Fahey is undated and unlabell...ed. What it does give us is the feel of the town in the early days. How the ladies negotiated so many obstacles on the street without getting their dresses dirty must have been a real challenge. The framing of the picture provides more insight of the back lanes with their picket fences and outhouses. See more

02.01.2022 This early Dorrigo photograph shows the Hollibone Pioneer Store on Cudgery St Dorrigo looking west. Later the store building was to become the Dunkley Davis Sto...re before being burnt down in the 1920's. None of the buildings on the right hand side still exist today. The large building on the right hand side is the Commercial Hotel built 1901 so this picture is later. The western side of the Bielsdown River appears uncleared. Interestingly, Hickory Street appears blocked by logs and the road has not been cut to the level of Cudgery Street so it is possible road work was being conducted at the time. See more
