24.01.2022 GEELONG City Services and Facilities The anticipated spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community is impacting on facilities and locations. The safety and wellbeing of our employees, volunteers and community is our main priority and will be the basis of all our actions.... To help slow the spread of the virus, minimise impacts on the community and protect the provision of critical services, the City has decided to close public access to the following, from close of business Wednesday 18 March until Wednesday 1 April: Swim, sport and leisure centres (Leisurelink, Waterworld, Splashdown, Bellarine Aquatic and Sport Centre, Kardinia Pool and Lara Pool); Sport and recreation stadiums (The Geelong Arena, Barwon Valley Activity Centre, Corio Leisuretime Centre); Potato Shed; National Wool Museum; and The Carousel. Employees and tenants will continue to have access to the listed facilities. The decision about the impact on these services will be reviewed by the end of March. Geelong Regional Library Corporation - all library branches and mobile libraries will shut from close of business Wednesday 18 March until at least 14 April 2020.
