21.01.2022 A modern family home with grand open spaces and features that make a statement: this is our #knockdownrebuild #residence project in Brighton. Our clients wanted lots of natural light and seamless connection between the spaces, especially the indoor and outdoor. With our design, the wow starts with the façade: sleek, modern and elegant. Upon entry, a wide hallway conceals a discreetly placed lift and features a large circular staircase as one of the highlights. 18.01.2022 Narre Warren North Project Currently under construction & due to be completed mid-2021, this is a 4-bedroom modern home with living and alfresco at the same level and lots of wow features that maximise the stunning views. Our solution to the southerly front views was a level platform created via a terraced pavilion to the back which links the alfresco, kitchen, meals and family on the one level and steps up to a master suite on the other side. Also, the pool is the centra...l focus for both spaces and this configuration allows northern light to flood into the home. 12.01.2022 Begonia House For this beautiful heritage style family-home, the clients required a home of understated traditional elegance that is light, bright and airy and has a high focus on allergy and asthma friendly building materials. The challenge lay with facilitating everything the client wanted within the constraints of this narrow block site at only 9.9m wide. The challenges faced for our Ivanhoe Dual Occupancy were: 1. getting light into the southern property's living spaces ... 2. avoiding long narrow corridors when designing with a party wall 3. making double garages to the front work on a side by side dual occupancy development Our solutions: 1 & 2. an internal courtyard beside an open staircase - serves the southern dwelling in particular by getting in much needed light & also breaks up the corridor 3. the use of light aluminium battens behind a translucent lightweight base gives a feel of lightness & weightlessness to the structure Want to learn more? 07.01.2022 Currently under construction (and due for completion at the end of 2020), the brief for our Doncaster East Dual Occupancy project was to knock down and rebuild 2 luxury modern homes. One of the residences will be sold or rented upon completion, while the other will be the second residence for our clients. With this in mind, a key area our Architectural & Interior Design team worked on was how to effectively live between 2 residences. 04.01.2022 UNDER CONSTRUCTION These photos of our Narre Warren North project show how we addressed the extreme slope (12m of slope across the block & 7m of slope across the building) of the site - we designed an efficient square shape so that the 3 levels stack on top of each other, with stairs and a lift linking the 3 levels.
