22.01.2022 There is an amazing amount of research on the power of touch. Babies (especially premature) grow quicker, are calmer, smarter and success as they grow up on almost every measure when given massage 15 minute twice a day. This is shown to affect them all the way into the 20s.

21.01.2022 This workshop will be a transformational experience. Demonstrating the power of Hypnotherapy & NLP with ancient traditions of Tantra, Chi or Qi Gong, and philosophy to change your life by developing attitudes and habits that free you from blockages to the lifestyle you most seek.

21.01.2022 COMMON COMMENTS FROM A NARCISSIST (which is interesting because it’s often them displaying these things and they twist it back to you) You’re over reacting Y...ou need help You’re upset over nothing You must be confused again Just calm down You’re so dramatic What are you talking about It’s your fault You’re so sensitive You twist things Stop imagining things I was just joking You’re remembering things wrong It’s always something with you You didn’t tell me that I’ve done all xyz for you I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on you taking you out for dinner I’ve bought you xyz "Can you not swear" "You should do this with your clients" "I know you must be upset now" Can you add anything more?

20.01.2022 This is longish for the internet but it is commonsense and useful. But hey, what else have you got to do right now? If you haven't broken the rushing-through-life habit yet, read the first sentence of each paragraph.

17.01.2022 The work is in getting beyond fear.

11.01.2022 An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t put you down unless you allow it to get inside you. Goi Nasu, Japanese visual novelist.

10.01.2022 This a great article on the relationship between meditation and hypnosis, their differences and similarities.

08.01.2022 Some versions of common mental discomforts - depression, anxiety, PTSD - are not the your fault or your body's fault, they are the product of natural responses ...to real situations your are living with or have faced. This is the result of new research on why drugs have failed to change the occurrence of the in most developed countries. The changing your life does mean changing yourself but it is hard to do the change if the framework you are living in says you are fundamentally flawed. The reason is that anxiety, depression and PTSD slowly grows less common (though of course there are exceptions) is that we become more skilled at managing ourselves and our relationships (both together). This research backs up the approach we use in the trainings I've done in Strategic Therapy, Hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT, and Buddhist mindfulness. See more

08.01.2022 Your attitude to life can change your aging process.

07.01.2022 I had never heard of the expression - "Jamais vu" until today. It means when the familiar feels alien. The opposite of "deja vu". As soon as I read up on it I k...new the phenomenon. It is used in hypno-performances and hypno-play sessions. Fascinating when you discover a new label for something you never thought needed one. I went to live in LA in 1986 for 5 years. It took a little while to get used to how familiar it felt. I had a variety of experiences including this and "déjà vu" because we in Australia are immersed in USA cultural output - music, visual and written - much of which is about and in LA. I felt at home yet knew it was alien lands. Sometimes I could isolate the specific movie or TV show that was the source but other times it was vaguer. Generally, it was a feeling of deja vu almost daily for about 6 months. When I came home to Sydney after the years away and then again every time I come home after traveling (and occasionally when preparing for a trip) I have mild Jamais vu. It's an experience to be invited so you can get excited about the ordinary.

06.01.2022 Happy New Year - I hope coming exceeds your best wishes for it.

02.01.2022 This is a great podcast on "Attachment theory" is the framework of how the loving or not relationship between parent and child can have a major effect on who we... are. Of course, Sigmund said this a 100+ years ago. This idea gives a more up-to-date and practical way for how this works. It is not fixed. I have an intimate experience of the effects of this. It often focused on the first couple of years, but I think it can be that a big change in your home environment can affect your capacity for trust in self or others, sense of security. Its core revelation is that we need loving attention from our parents first and foremost, then comes the rest - food, cleanliness etc. In children, it is tested with "the strange situation test" by how the child relates to strange situations and how they recover from it when their parent comes back. There is an interview process for adults to explore where you are on the spectrum from secure through uncertain to insecure attachment. If mindfulness is the process of discovering the reality of your feeling and thinking responses to build self and relationship awareness, it is a process that can help build a more secure in yourself and in love. This is a beautiful summation. I might buy the book. See more
