23.01.2022 Wow, the last few days have been excellent for beach metal detecting! You may have heard that the lower east coast of Australia has been copping some massive swell! Looking at my finds, I’m thinking that the lack of sinkers found strongly suggests that the lead and gold have sunk down further below... and more erosion would be needed to find them. Jason unearthed a 223-year-old UK minted 'Cartwheel Penny' from 1797, near his hometown in Macarthur NSW It's amazing to think that this coin was minted just 9 years after the first fleet sailed into Sydney!... 20.01.2022 Nugget Hunting Success! Over a few weekends recently, Alistair from Central Victoria has unearthed these absolute beauties using his new 'Gold Kruzer' Metal Detector. He's been working through the leftover mine tailings near an old crushing plant, just on the outskirts of Bendigo, VIC ... For Gold Kruzer users, Alistair said he was "running the factory settings and did play with the gain a little, at one stage... running it at 90 with the threshold at 9" By the looks of things, this machine will pay for itself pretty soon! #goldkruzer #detectedgear

15.01.2022 Ring recovered from the ocean! Our mate Dave in Hawaii never fails to share an awesome story of his latest recovery! "I received a call yesterday evening asking if I could help find a ring thought to be lost on the beach while putting on suntan lotion. I told them we need to search right away due to other Detectors out in the evenings and early morning"... "So late last night I went to search the dry sand... no Luck. I told them it must have been lost in the ocean. We met up around noon today and about 40 minutes into the search - wedding ring found!"
