22.01.2022 Today's adventure at Hawks Nest with Ty. We want to thank Dan(see pic 2). Dan took time from his own business again to show Ty & I the beauty of Hawks Nest. We even got to see a pod of about 15 dolphins 20m off shore. Ty showed some great balance and decision making skills as we climbed on the rocks at Little Gibber. Ty also demonstrated his awesome manners as we left he thanked Dan for the day.
22.01.2022 Today Ty enjoyed some time at Spring Loaded and then a walk at Fernleigh Track. Jacob has joined our support team and is enjoying getting out in the bush with Ty.
20.01.2022 Today even in the rain Ty's adventurous spirit was shining. After looking at the convict built culvert Ty asked to drive through the Watagans. Ty guided us to the Watagans and we had a look at the flow at Boarder House Dam. Ty's navigation skills are phenomenal. Awesome job Ty
19.01.2022 This afternoon Zedekai enjoyed a couple games of UNO & snap. And he did it the Detour way, outside in amongst it. Afterwards we went for a walk and learnt something about Singletons history. Zedekai would love some mates to join in. Flick us a message or give us a call
17.01.2022 Today Ty tested the rain water filled Hunter River for some fish. One small bream took the bait! (See the joke) Then we did a little 4km stroll on Ash Island. Then this afternoon Zedekai showed us how awesome he can cook. Waffles are yum apparently Thanks for an awesome day fella's

14.01.2022 This afternoon Xavier made a chocolate cake. Xavier tells me he's never cooked a cake before. He's licking those beaters like he's done that before! Awesome job Xavier. The cake looks tasty. I wonder what we'll cook next week?
14.01.2022 On Monday Ty went on a big walk at the Somersby Falls and then at Brisbane water NP at Girrakool. Some interesting spots. Ty had to traverse some rocks and fallen trees. And he did a great job. Total od about 12km walked. And on Monday afternoon Zedekai showed us how to return amd earn with cans and bottles. (No I've never done it) Zedekai took his vouchers to Woolies and cashed them in. Awesome job Zedekai!

11.01.2022 Today we went fishing with Dan. Dan is a little camera shy so the little bream has taken centre stage. Yes we seem to do lots of fishing. It's an activity that teaches us lot's of patience, persistence and fine motor skills. It also builds confidence and independence. If you or someone you know would benefit from our programs please get in contact with Chris.
04.01.2022 On Wednesday Dan was treated to a great day out on the bay. An awesome friend of Detour took us out on the water. Thanks Uncle Les & Aunty Jenelle. Dan even had a steer of the boat to wet his taste buds for the water. We took home 9 whiting. Dan can't wait to get back out there.
01.01.2022 This afternoon Jonas & Xavier enjoyed making thickshakes and a meal of snitzel chips and corn on the cob. Both these young men are chefs at heart. Both of them are awesome cooks. And were rather impressed with their thickshake making skills. Next Thursday we are making waffles with fruit & ice cream Lifeskills training at its best!
