17.01.2022 The DEAI acknowledges that ‘R U OK? Day 2020’ is coming to an end, but this does not mean we stop asking the question. Developmental Educators (as are all human beings) are in a position to encourage others to continue sharing this message and help when the answer is ‘no’. R U OK? has a number of helpful resources, we encourage you to look at and share these too!
17.01.2022 6-12 September 2020 was National Child Protection Week. This year National Child Protection Week celebrated its 30th year with the theme: Putting children first. Putting children first means prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children. To grow up well children need to feel safe and loved, have a chance to play and explore, have a say in decisions that affect them, and access to essential things like food, shelter and healthcare. NAPCAN have a series of (recorded) webinars on their website as well as resources and information to help you protect children. For more information visit: https://www.napcan.org.au/ncpw-get-involved/
