20.01.2022 Progress on the Bendigo GovHub is moving ahead, with the recent demolition of the main building. In preparation for the demolition, the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation held a Smoking Ceremony on site. In Dja Dja Wurrung culture, participating in a Smoking Ceremony is a sign of respect and good intentions. The purpose of the ceremony was to cleanse the old building and the land of Yarrung Murrupuk (bad spirit) and to bring in Dhelkup Murrupuk (good spirit) as the creation of the building emerges over time, bringing in the new. We’re proud to deliver this project on behalf of Regional Victoria Living.
