19.01.2022 The COVID-19 vaccine will first be made available to South Australians in phases from mid-February. Access to vaccines during the first phase of the roll out wi...ll be made available to those who are most vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19 or who have the highest risk of being exposed to, or spreading, the virus. This will include: residents and staff of aged and disability care facilities medi-hotel and airport staff health care workers working in high risk exposure and transmission areas, such as COVID testing clinics and emergency departments. The program will take several months to roll out, with vaccination for the general population to be available from mid-2021. Two doses of the vaccine are needed for each person to be adequately immunised against COVID-19. SA Health is working closely with the Commonwealth Department of Health to develop an implementation plan for South Australia in line with the Vaccine Roadmap announced by the Federal Government. 16.01.2022 there are lots of conversations in the allied health world about masks at the moment. Basically, we should be only seeing people in the community who are well and those who are confidently able to socially distance. The obvious options for us in SA is to use telehealth options with people at the moment. WE ran groups on the weekend via "teams" and they were awesome... Stay safe SA, we will continue to keep you posted... alison

07.01.2022 We are not faking it. We are not weak, lazy, or incapable. We are smart, hardworking and determined. And yes, we have a neurological disease and we need disabil...ity accommodations. The hidden costs of migraine in the workplace are real! Raising awareness by educating others is so important at the workplace. With the proper knowledge about this neurological disease, both the employee (the most important piece to an organization) will benefit as well as the employer's bottom line! 03.01.2022 Awesome day today organised by Jordi and Row. They arranged hire of sports wheelchairs and families came to a local school and had a great time playing together. A delightful day, where everyone in the family got to play at their physical level together. This is physio and OT at it's best. A big thank you to our therapists for the planning and love which went into this. A thank you to the school who kindly gave us a place to play. A huge smile and thank you to the f...amilies who so enthusiastically participated in a new activity and trusted us with our "great idea". Apparently there was lots of smiles and at the end the questions was "when is the next one?" Some days, we really really know why we do this job. alison and sonya Develop Occupational Therapy Develop Physio Develop Therapy Services #WheelchairAccessible #wheelchair_Adelaide #adelaide #adelaide
