20.01.2022 A great ceremony in the Meeting Hall at the Adelaide Town Hall for Jennifer and Stan. A super organised couple who knew exactly what they wanted. Pretty sure we did that - I say we because my wife Christine is my assistant on the day to look after the bridal party and makes sure music etc. happens when it should. She also takes the pictures. Thanks to Jack Small Photography for the last 3 photos.

20.01.2022 Been a bit busy the past 12 months - weddings, trips to China and India, playing Masters Hockey for SA, family birthday in Darwin, family and friends in general. So, I haven't got around to posting much. Better fix that and share a few photos from a few weddings. Here's some at the Gazebo, the Gawler Racecourse for Kellie and Matt - my second wedding for the family. Hi, Gerry-Lee and Sean.

18.01.2022 What a great setting on top of the hill at Coriole Winery for Annie and James' wedding. A moving reading by the groom's mother, tears during the vows and a great interaction with the guests made a beautiful ceremony.

15.01.2022 What a great day for a wedding in the Mount Crawford Forest. Tying the knot was Nathan from Williamstown South Australia and Tailar from Medicine Hat Canada.

13.01.2022 Couple more posts tomorrow from The Meeting Hall, Adelaide Town Hall and Sunnybrae Estate. Cheers and hope you have a brilliant 2019.

13.01.2022 Nothing like being outside on a beautiful day. Even more so for Justine and Jason's marriage at Sunnybrae Estate.

13.01.2022 Well, we survived Saturday's 45C at Portee Station Blanchetown for Tamara Rohrlach and David's Marriage Ceremony. A great couple to work with. Dave's grandfather provided a wonderful reading, 1 Corinthians, about love and the story about their journey together to this point in time was well received. Salt and Pepper Catering from Berri provided wonderful finger food before the formal reception and very grateful for the beer on ice. A brilliant wedding cake was once again provided by Nat Sexton of Cake'N Cakery of Tanunda. Must not forget my beautiful wife who looked after the music during the ceremony and the wonderful Tracy Noble who was the "wedding coordinator" making sure everything went smoothly - she's also a great photographer. All round a wonderful day.

12.01.2022 What a terrific venue for the wedding of Orit and Mark at Sinclair's Gully Winery at Norton Summit on Saturday 3rd February. Beautiful bride and handsome groom along wiith a wonderful bridal party. Thanks for inviting Christine and I to stay on and enjoy some time with your guests. Loved the performance by those visiting from Israel.

12.01.2022 Talk about a beautiful spot for a ceremony. Private property at Currency Creek and the grandparents had just restored the old chapel, which was used for refreshments after the ceremony. Although ended up being a bit windy it was great day. Congratulations Madelyn and Matthew.

11.01.2022 After all this time Australia now has Equality in Marriage. Let's hope we can all put aside our differences and continue to grow positively in this great country of ours.

10.01.2022 PERSONALISED MARRIAGE CEREMONIES If you are looking for a Celebrant who loves creating relaxed, humourous and personalised ceremonies for couples who want someone with a bit of life experience, then I'm your man. The ceremony will include YOUR story as well as any readings, rituals, dressups etc. that you want. Of course I'll give you lots of useful suggestions. As an added bonus, my wife, Christine, accompanies me to help the bridal party on the day and to make sure music et...c. is played when it's supposed to. If you want us to look after your music we can do that for a small fee - I use Spotify and a separate PA. I have ceremonies all over SA and of course provide my own PA, signing table and chairs if required. Rehearsals are important to make sure YOU are happy with how things will play out on the day. So, what does all this cost? My fee is a modest $600.00 but if you would like a no fuss, legals only type ceremony with a couple of friends then it's $300.00 - conditions apply. The legals only is held at my house in the Southern Barossa, in the adjoining vineyard or the nearby cellar door. What are you waiting for? Have a quick look at my pictures on www.facebook.com/devinescelebrations and if I look like I might suit your style let's set up an obligation free chat and go from there. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Cheers - Michael

04.01.2022 RETIRING. After much deliberation I have decided to retire from being a Marriage Celebrant. Thank you to all the wonderful brides and grooms for making my journey with you so brilliant. I have some marvellous memories and NEVER had a single BRIDZILLA - lucky me. I'll keep on helping families with funerals to make sure they have a meaningful service. The future is looking bright and who knows what's around the next corner. Off to Europe to play hockey with an Australian Masters team in Belgium is what is around the very next corner. Anyway - Thanks again - and I hope you all have a brilliant time doing whatever you choose to do. Forever Young.

01.01.2022 Beautiful morning for a rehearsal at Sinclair's Gully Winery at Norton Summit. In amongst the gum trees it's going to be a magnificent spot for plenty of rustic photos.
