10.01.2022 https://andrewz.smugmug.com/Sport/SCAT Great photos of our carnival.

05.01.2022 Unfortunately the Devonport Athletic Club have cancelled their 2020 Carnival. We apologise to competitors and patrons but do not want to put on a second rate performance and we want Devonport to be that shining light event, and that's not something we can be confident of and we were also concerned with having to reduce the prize money of our wheel and gift, as while sponsors were supportive, it was very difficult to raise the quantity of money that we required. In conjunction... with the Devonport Mersey Valley Cycling Club we will run a running carnival for local athletes and NU-GEN events in January date to be set. The club is launching a membership drive, with the average age of our committee in their late 60s, The committee want to share their experience with new younger members who have exciting ideas and initiatives to progress the club and carnival into the future. The club prides itself on being a trend setter and needs members to keep driving the club forward. Please contact the club if you are interested in joining the Devonport Athletic Club or have ideas and positive initiatives to keep progressing the club into the future. . The Devonport Athletic Club rather than wallow in self pity despite the obvious disappointment of not holding a carnival in 2020, the Devonport Athletic Club will be using the time to ensure it will be bigger and better in 2021. We are already seriously looking and planning for 2021 and we are proposing that Devonport next year will be the way it was a few years ago when we had pole vaulting, trampolining, beep test, Beach Flags and other events that weren't running and cycling, Hope everyone can support us and keep moving forward into future.
