Safe Space MAIN GALLERY 3 October 14 November 2020 Safe Space is a major touring exhibition of contemporary sculpture, showcasing the works of 12 acclaimed Australian artists. Featuring a diversity of sculptural materials, techniques and scale, Safe Space explores different notions of space abstract or real, physical, psychological, political and social to spark the viewer’s curiosity. Safe Space is an initiative of Museums & Galleries Queensland developed in partnership with Logan City Council through Logan Art Gallery, and curated by Christine Morrow. Download the Check in TAS App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Register your details (required for the first time only). Open the app, select ‘check in now’ and hover your smartphone camera over the venue’s displayed QR Code.... Add in any additional people who are with you. When the check in is complete, show venue staff the app successful check in screen. You don't have to touch anything but your own smart phone to register at an event that is using a CHECK IN TAS QR code. Save yourself the wait in line, the repetitive need to write your contact details down, and use CHECK IN TAS next time you go to an event. CHECK IN TAS will be used at the DCC Harmony Day Celebration on Thursday 18 March, so get the app and make registering a breeze!

The workshop will explore the concept of self-care, how to identify personal signs of stress, and simple strategies that can be used to manage individual stress levels on an everyday basis. Each participant will leave with their own individual self-care plan.

This D...ecember, Council will provide an array of fun activities to get people into the Christmas spirit following what has been a challenging year for many, Devonport Mayor Councillor Annette Rockliff said. To officially kick off the festivities, the traditional Christmas tree in the Rooke Street Mall will be lit from December 1st. This year, a new tree and decorations have been funded by the Australian Government’s Infrastructure Investment Program Stimulus: Supporting our Community. 11 panels decorating the base of the tree have been painted by local children.
