25.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone Preseason will start Monday 13th January at 6 - 7pm on the grass at Meercroft Park for all senior and junior Men and Women. First session will be taken by Jack Pease, and if anyone would like to put there hand up to take a session, please let us know, it would be much appreciated. Also the AGM will follow in the clubrooms at 7.15pm and would like as many people as possible to attend, see you Monday

25.01.2022 Just a reminder that preseason will be on Mondays 6-7pm, this Monday is a long weekend so not sure how many will be around, but is still on. Turf training will commence Thursday 13th February. We are also asking for expressions of interest to anyone that would be like to be part of a committee for our 40th Year Club Reunion, which is next year, 2021. We plan to invite all past and present hockey players and supporters and a date for a weekend of activities will be decided shortly. Please advise ASAP, thank you!

16.01.2022 Hockey Tasmania Coronavirus COVID-19 Advice 1 Tuesday 17th March 2020 Statement on Coronavirus COVID-19 On Tuesday morning, March 17, the Tasmanian Government declared a public health emergency for the State. As a result, Hockey Tasmania has taken the decision to temporarily close its grounds in Hobart and Launceston and suspend all hockey competitions and activities state-wide until further notice. This decision is taken in response to the declaration of a public health emer...gency and to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community, to protect those who are likely to experience more severe symptoms, or are at greater risk such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions. These steps are essential to reduce the demands on our health system so that it can function effectively. Furthermore, the Under 15 National Championships to be held in NSW, and the Under 18 National Championships to be held in Launceston, both in April, have been cancelled. This was in consultation with Hockey Australia and other member states. These tournaments will not be rescheduled. The only consideration for these decisions was the health and well-being of our members and the broader Tasmanian community. Suspension of competitions will have financial implications on HT and the clubs. The financial impact is under review and members will be informed of the financial implications once it has been determined and are working closely with the clubs and key stakeholders in relation to this matter. Hockey Tasmania will continue to monitor the situation closely and review all decisions as things change. This is a rapidly changing public health emergency and we will respond appropriately based on the advice from the Health Department. At this moment the 2020 season has not been cancelled. The review process is ongoing and constant and will be conducted in association with the clubs, stakeholders, and relevant agencies. We will have a clearer picture of the situation in Tasmania by the start of April and we will be able to then begin to assess issues such as the potential date for resumption of season 2020 competitions, registration, and subscription fees. We would like to thank our hockey community for their patience and understanding in this matter and encourage all members to treat each other with compassion and respect. It is in these unprecedented times like these that we need to pull together and support one another. Stay safe. To address that gap... in everyone's hockey calendar we're delighted to announce the 2020 Festival of Indoor Hockey, a weekend of regional challenge indoor hockey at the Silverdome in Launceston on 21-22 November 2020! This is a chance for some serious competition, but also some serious fun, as we'll be hosting matches in Mixed U13s, U15s, U18s, Open, and Masters. TURF TIMES Juniors- Under 13, 15 and 17s 6-7pm Seniors -7-8pm Season is due to start around the 4th April and rosters shouldnt be too far away Make an effort, come along, bring a friend and lets get fit for the coming season

Social distancing rules apply and changerooms will be open... Times are: Under 13s vs West - Friday night at 6pm Under 17s vs West - Friday night at 7:15pm GNLM vs West - Saturday at 2pm Div 2 Women Orange vs Blue - Saturday at 5pm Stay for BBQ tea at the shed. Sausages, hamburgers and drinks will be available!

04.01.2022 As Covid restrictions are easing a season is looking imminent , training will start next Thursday 18th June at 6pm for juniors and seniors at 7pm. Hockey Tas fees will need to be paid by the end of June for insurance purposes. We are asking ASAP a commitment of who will be playing this year? If you can please either inbox or comment on this page, as we need to confirm what teams we will have. Strict COVIDSafe restrictions will apply for trainings and prior to next Thursday a Covid safety plan will be issued and available on the night. If you have further questions, please message a committee member.
