20.01.2022 Very sad news for the organisers and patrons of the Wynyard Rodeo that they have been forced to cancel the event due to the extremely poor ground conditions. For those patrons looking for an alternative, the Wolfe Brothers Show is still going ahead as planned. Please see the event post for all the details including Battle of the Bands, etc. and the weather looks all good. Please pass this information onto all your friends, etc. and hope to see you at the Devonport Showgrounds.

08.01.2022 Just want to say a massive THANK YOU to all the artists that came and played at the concert at the Devonport Showgrounds yesterday, you are a very talented bunch of people we have here in Tassie. Also to The Playbook loved your music and thanks so much for coming. Slow Descent sorry we didn't get to hear you guys due to the weather but maybe another time?? And to all you lovely people who braved the weather to support the kids and party the night away with the Wolfe Broth...ers. Despite the rain we had an awesome time, everyone on stage was safe and a little bit of rain didn't stop us. And to all the Tech and Backstage people a massive Thank You. And finally the DAPS Committee for all your hard work pulling this together, Thank You. The Wolfe Brothers were amazing, where other bands may of pulled the plug, you guys gave it your best and put on a awesome show. Can't wait to see you play again. See more

Vegetables, Potatoes, Raspberries and other Berries, Free Range Eggs, Mushrooms, Olive oil, garlic, Jams and Sauces, Wines, Pastries, Cakes, Coffee, Buscuits, Donuts, Meringues and Chocolate Houses covered in lollies! Just to name a few. Plenty of gift ideas available at our other stalls including: Haus Creative Artist Market, Tarrant Guitars, with guitars handcrafted right here in Tasmania. Terrariums made by Vanelli Succulents, Skyes Painted Rocks, Candles, Perfumes, Toys, Plants, Rex Evans with his handcrafted woodwork, Plants, Fresh Flowers, Soaps and plenty more. 02.01.2022 Devonport Agricultural & Pastoral Society Inc 31 March 2020 DEVONPORT GREYHOUND MEETING @ DEVONPORT SHOWGROUND 31 MARCH 2020... TasRacing and the Office of Racing Integrity chose to not hold the Devonport Greyhound meet at the Devonport Showgrounds today. The Devonport Agricultural and Pastoral Society (DAPS) has in the past expressed serious concerns in respect of TasRacing’s continued use of the site during the COVID-19 crisis and has made clear that it expects Tasmanian law be obeyed at the Showgrounds. DAPS and the Office of Racing Integrity were contacted by Tasmanian Police this morning by email, advising that TasRacing has not been deemed an essential service and had no current exemption in place. Further, Tasmanian Police advised that TasRacing had informed Police that an application for exemption is in the system, but there has been no resolution at this stage. DAPS was surprised and disappointed to learn this from Tasmanian Police as it appears this activity at the site and the attempt to hold today’s event (with ~100 people) is a breach of the law, and entirely contrary to community expectations. Based on the correspondence from Tasmania Police, the Office of Racing Integrity’s representatives at the Devonport Showgrounds this morning confirmed the event could not, and would not proceed, on the basis that Tasracing did not hold and could not produce the required exemptions. DAPS also notes the unfortunately misleading public statements made by Tasracing today regarding the closure of the event. It was not DAPS that caused the race event to be cancelled, it was Tasracing’s failure to obtain the necessary exemption to allow it to comply with the Premier and the State Government's directions. DAPS has been advised by Tasmania Police that race activity at the site cannot proceed. DAPS considers this to be a matter between Tasracing, Tasmania Police and the Tasmanian Government.
