25.01.2022 The DBC INC. Office will be closed from 3 pm today and re-opening at 9 am Monday 11th January. We would like to wish all our members, players, volunteers and supporters a very safe and happy festive season and we look forward to 2021 being the year of the Warriors.

25.01.2022 Our Last Man Standing night of fun is back! Tickets cost $30 and if you are "the last man standing" also meaning the last ticket drawn.....you will be $800 richer! Some refreshments and supper is included in the ticket price. Tickets purchased prior to Covid 19 are still valid. Come and join us for a great night of fun whilst also supporting our great club! 22.01.2022 Please welcome our brand new Vice President Jo Knowles. Jo is no stranger to the Warriors as Jo has previously held the role of Junior Commission among other roles at the Devonport Warriors. Jo has also taken over the role of Player/coach Liaison Officer working alongside Simon Sturzaker. Jo and Simon are sharing this role to ensure all our coaches and athletes feel supported and have someone to speak to if they have any concerns. 21.01.2022 2021 Devonport Warriors U/10 Girls Dear Parents and Players All girls born in 2012 and 2013 are invited to attend training for the 2021 U10 Girls Warrior squad.... Throughout 2021 the squad will participate in interclub matches against other coastal clubs and tournaments. Training will be held on Tuesday 22nd December from 4.30 pm until 5.30 pm in the stadium (court 2). Please bring along a size 5 basketball, a drink, reversible singlet if you have one and $3-00 to cover the cost of court hire and lights. 12.01.2022 What a wonderful day yesterday celebrating our junior teams for 2020. Congratulations to everyone on an outstanding achievement for 2020. Even though Covid-19 restrictions shut our club down for a few months, yesterday was evidence that we have lots of athletes who still love their basketball. Our women had a solid win being in control from the outset to prevail by 20 points, whilst our men battled hard against an experienced Demons team that will be in tough to beat. Summarising a message from a parent yesterday......Even if you don't win, you never lose.........only learn! Congratulations to our 2 Championship teams......U14 and U16 girls! What an amazing effort. And to our runners up.....U16 boys, U18 girls and U12 boys Div 1 and 2.....congratulations on an excellent season, you fought hard in some extremely close battles yesterday! 11.01.2022 With the 2020 TJBL roster coming to a close this coming weekend the club would like to pass on a massive congratulations to all our teams who represented our club with pride. We are extremely proud to say we were able to field a total of 13 teams across all age groups, not to mention our 3 x U10 teams currently competing in their respective roster. Our very best wishes and goodluck vibes are extended to our 6 teams that have made their Grand Finals....U12 Div 1 and Div 2 Boys..., U14 Girls, U16 Boys and Girls and our U18 Girls will all compete in Grand Finals this weekend. The Championship finals will be held in Devonport whilst the Shield finals are in Ulverstone. 05.01.2022 LAST MAN STANDING CANCELLED. Due to low ticket sales we regretfully have to cancel the Last Man Standing event scheduled for Saturday 21st November. We will refund all tickets and reorganise for early next year. Thank you to all those that supported us by buying a ticket.

03.01.2022 We have a HUGE 2 weekends of basketball coming up for the Club......this weekend we play one of the hosts to the U12 State Championships and next weekend is our annual Primary Schools Tournament. Obviously alot of manpower is needed to get these up and running. If you have an hour to spare to act as match manager or help out in the canteen on any of these days please send us a message or call Jan in the office on 64242440. 02.01.2022 What a great weekend of action at the State U12 Championships! Congratulations to all 5 teams from the Warriors who put up outstanding performances throughout the weekend. Well done to our U12 girls who took out the Division 3 grand final, both our U12 boys and girls Div 1 teams finished runner up to extremely strong, well drilled Burnie and Latrobe teams respectively ( congratulations Burnie and Latrobe on fantastic performances), our Div 2 U12 boys finished 3rd and our Div ...3 U12 boys finished with 2 out of 4 wins for the tournament. All teams have come so far this year and improved immensely. A huge thankyou to our committed and dedicated coaches and team officials who put in endless hours and to all the parents who without your help none of it would be possible. State Champs roll on to Launceston on Tuesday and Wednesday for the U16 and U18 teams, finishing with the U14 State Champs on Thursday and Friday. Goodluck to all teams! Go Warriors! Congratulations to our u10 girls team who were runner up in Division 2 and also to our U10 boys who fought hard and never gave up in all their games in Div 1 where they came up against some fairly tough competition.
