25.01.2022 This amazing athlete, hot off 2nd pace in her category and 3rd overall at the Sunsmart Busso Half ironman, has raised the stakes. With no Ironman distance available to race this year she has set her own target. Manue will be racing the Ironman distance to raise money for the Perth Children’s hospital. Jump on board and support both Manue and the sick kids if WA.

20.01.2022 Just yes. So often strengthening the foot is overlooked for a pair of built up shoes with orthotics. If I had a sore back I would be prescribed exercises to strengthen it with perhaps some tape to assist supporting it through the rehab process. ... The foot is no different. We may need some shoes or orthotics to assist but without strengthening the foot it will become weaker and more problematic. Barefoot activation and training should be a part of every persons life! #barefootstrong

I talked about how we can use the foot and the breath to check out how we might be going in this stressy environment and to better prepare ourselves to move in a safe manner. I had a good laugh at my deprived brain. My job allows my brain to constantly think, analyze and play detective on a daily basis. Fully practiced social distancing this morning....... except the herring that swam underneath me. Feel so much better for it. 06.01.2022 I have just spoken to Massage and Myotherapy Australia for advice regarding business closure for nonessential services. I have been advised that we as soft tissue therapists can continue to operate given we maintain the strictest of hygiene protocols as advised by Dr Norman Swan last Friday. They also stated this situation needs to be monitored in a daily basis as the management of the virus is very much subject to change. For those who have appointments this week, I sincerely thank you for your loyalty. Stay safe, look after yourselves and your families.

05.01.2022 On Saturday I had a chat with Tracy from Tracy Hill Remedial Massage. Posted earlier in this page. We chatted about a few things and I talked about a few exercises that help you check in on your body before you go off and exercise, or anything for that matter! The video talks about one of the exercises, finding the center of your foot giving you a sense of balance and awareness as to how you are carrying your body.
