13.01.2022 BEFORE & AFTER #theshack01 This family bathroom was a tiny space that indeed needed some love! Being located in the middle of the house and measuring only 2.8m x 1.8m definitely set me a challenge. I needed it to house a second toilet, walk in shower, bath and vanity to serve all of our family (given it’s the only bathroom in the house) so the pressure was on in getting the design and space configuration perfect! Thankfully I was able to steal 800mm from the neighbouring 3rd... bedroom (now an open study zone) to allow for a much more family friendly design. I really wanted a beautiful arch mirror but practicality played a part and won...and I am pleased to say this mirrored medicine cabinet was a must in the end and I am loving the extra storage. I get to design so many beautiful bathrooms for clients that when designing my own I wanted to have some fun! The decision to only tile 1200mm high and introduce this bold green paint colour is not for everyone. It’s not the current look of grey, white, black and timber that’s spread all over Instagram. I often stress about having some fun with design and in particular paint colours. Paint is not a permanent fixture but oh how it can change a space!
