25.01.2022 Yet more rocker covers, just when you think you have every possibility of breather baffle pattern made something new or perhaps a different position for a breather means you have to make yet another pattern.

25.01.2022 Some classes require extra protection plates to be welded on the seats for driver protection.

25.01.2022 Yet more stainless stands for the Mygale Formula 4 cars. As you can see they hold the nose cone and wing safely off the ground. They are a pretty expensive item so it just makes sense not to damage them if at all possible.

25.01.2022 This is the gearbox housing for a sequential race gearbox where more ground clearance was required. The sump was shortened and the plate welded in its place. I was a little concerned with possible cracking as the casting cooled after welding but it all came up nicely.

25.01.2022 2 sets of folding Stainless Steel stands for the new Mygale Formula 4 open wheel race cars. The customer likes Stainless and so do I, its a good match.

24.01.2022 More hub stands for a Formula 3 open wheeler. I thought we would only ever build one set of these, weve done 3 or 4 sets now. Must be doing something right I guess.

23.01.2022 Welding filler neck, Dash series breathers and baffles to a pair of Big Block Brodix rocker covers. They welded pretty well for a casting and as always we will try to weld them from the inside if possible leaving the outside clean. It can be quite tricky not getting bruising or burn through depending on the quality and thickness of the casting.

23.01.2022 A couple of channel and angle frames for a customer. They may look relatively simple but in fact were a real headache to get right. The customer then has to drill a gazillion holes inside, outside and everywhere.

22.01.2022 Another small block twin turbo Ford sump in for some serious modifications to increase capacity and ensure oil is constantly around the oil pickup. This sump is a Moroso, a very nicely made sump in my opinion.

21.01.2022 Quick change diff Magnesium side hat. The threads pull out of the housing for the brake caliper mounts. Weve found the only way to properly do the job is to cut out the side of the mounting pillars and fill them from bottom to top and die grinding the casting back to clean metal.

21.01.2022 We had to modify a customers fuel filler for his fuel tank that was damaged in transit and no one would accept responsibilty so he called on us to help him out. The filler neck we had was the closest in size but we still needed a tube insert in the neck hence the wider than normal weave Tig weld. Still came up pretty neat though.

20.01.2022 I bit of Titanium welding on some brackets to a Titanium housing for a drag racing car.

19.01.2022 Sprintcar floor plate.

19.01.2022 Stainless battery trolley for an open Sports Sedan.

18.01.2022 Sprintcar radiator channels for both wingless V6 and winged V8 sprintcars.

18.01.2022 Sprintcar air deflector plates

17.01.2022 A Sprintcar tappet adjustment tool. Simply put car in gear, slide over axle splines and rotate to position. Most racers have a damaged wheel centre that is suitable for bolting to the handle. The handles look good with the knurled end.

17.01.2022 A junior Dragster where the young driver had head height problems. Greg cut off the original and built one 5" (127mm) higher.

15.01.2022 Another sump being modified for a turbo V8 Ford street/strip weapon. Its a 2nd hand sump and it was very difficult to get into and remove baffles and relocate the pickup for an external oil pump so it was right at the back of the bowl to ensure oil pickup under heavy acceleration.

15.01.2022 Sprintcar dashes both old and new.

15.01.2022 A neat little washer bottle for very nice 500+ cubes 69 Camaro.

15.01.2022 More Mygale Formula 4 stainless steel frames. These are for holding the bodywork in place safely while maintenance is done on the car.

15.01.2022 Setting up and welding injector bosses and fuel rail mounts on a couple of V8 manifolds.

14.01.2022 Adjustable rear Sprintcar ladders.

14.01.2022 A friend of Gregs 32 Ford. Note the uber cool retro Ford "cammer" 427 engine.

13.01.2022 The same Sprintcar. Removing the original A frame and diff protection bar and relocating them in the chassis to give more room for the driver.

12.01.2022 Rotating jig being delivered to customer for checking prior to being galvanised.

12.01.2022 Weld repairs to a hand grenaded sports sedan alloy housing and Magnesium sandwich plate. I left plenty of buildup on the Mag plate as a lot of machining was necessary to build up a shoulder for a large bearing.

11.01.2022 RB26 Godzilla casting modification. This mod separates the air flow from the turbos as in original form one turbo fights the other resulting in mismatched boost pressures.

10.01.2022 Weld repair to a vintage Norton motorcycle engine. Its not something easily replaced so its worth the time and effort to do the job properly.

10.01.2022 Combustion chamber repair to a rare Nissan SR20 head for a circuit race car.

08.01.2022 Its all in the detail. Greg, making sure everything fits as it should.

07.01.2022 Sometimes too many clamps are never enough. Frame ends for a rotating assembly jig

07.01.2022 I call them my welded "starfish". Part of a rotating assembly jig.

05.01.2022 Greg, hard at work welding a tapered Halo to a chassis.

03.01.2022 A Stainless Steel trolley for compressed air bottles for on the grid tyre pressure changes. Suits both D and E sized bottles.

02.01.2022 More rocker cover mods. Dash 12 breather fittings and baffles and billet filler cap and neck.
