15.01.2022 The possibility of architecture to help build community is one of our greatest motivators here at DFJ. Knowing how hard we worked to try to achieve this at Lismore Regional Gallery made experiencing The Quad in full flight during the Art on Bundjalung Market a couple of weeks ago a pretty proud moment for us indeed.

14.01.2022 As another successful @splendourinthegrass wraps, we are reeling from the realisation it has been TEN years since we took part in SITG’s inaugural SPLENDID Arts Lab 2009! We were lucky enough to be one of 10 people chosen from across Australia to create cross art form collaborations for the 2010 festival, which happened to coincide with our first year as @dfj.architects definitely an unusual first project for the books! Together with @laurenbrincatstudio we produced Best Tim...e Ever, a giant festival solar clock staircase. The structure is made of steel and recycled hardwood treads, is 27m long, rises over 15m from the ground and points due solar north. It remains permanently installed at the Woodfordia site, a remnant of Splendour’s brief time in Queensland.
