24.01.2022 Mentally and emotionally tough Many times this is what separates the good and great athletes. As a parent and youth coach I've learned that some kids require some help in this area, while others seem to be born with it, or had it instilled by their parents or other coaches. I understand the importance of teaching them how to do the fundamentals and how to train their bodies for the rigors of sports. But it is just as important to prepare them mentally and emotionally. 03.01.2022 After a difficult year and all the stop and start in sports things are now finally getting back to a new norm. We can now concentrate on developing our juniors and helping them to improve not only in their skills, but helping them get through these difficult times, whilst it may have been stressful for some of the young children not being able to practice sport over the COVID restrictions. While we strive to improve our programme we have placed a lot of emphasis in buildin...g character and skills. DGA has been delighted to celebrate with our old and new members which have made this year a very colourful and enthusiastic time. Thank you for all your support throughout the year as we wind up with our last session for 2020.
