24.01.2022 Dean Williams plays a forehand against Kiwi Ross Norman... Notice how Dean's follow-through finishes close to his body allowing his opponent access and less cha...nce of getting wacked..plus its easier to play the next shot... Why dont ref's ever say anything about players with huge dangerous follow-through's with an extended arm that basically creates a huge area that cant be visited by their opponent and then to add insult to injury as they linger on the spot like a bloody statue.....even a medium quality shot is almost impossible to get to...surely this isn't ok? Juniors and some ladies who havent got the physical strength to reign that swing in after the ball leaves the strings you can understand but not fully growm Adult male players....

15.01.2022 Here's hopefully something many will find interesting. I saw a version of this for the NFL and was curious to see how it translated to squash. Spent all morning... going through past results to pull this together - a bit like pulling teeth but got there eventually! Managed to feature every single top 20 player, along with a few others who sit outside there. Essentially, if you work clockwise, each player has beaten the next player along in the circle since the start of the 2019 season. It would have been nice to do this for 2020 alone, but with the lack of tournaments it wasn't quite possible. Really interesting to see the end result!

15.01.2022 The 3rd in the 4 event JETSS Series was held on Sunday the 8th October in conjunction with the MAASH Open and was a great success. With an increase in numbers a...gain and 50+ kids, staggered start times, more divisions and the need to get the matches played before the commencement of the graded MAASH open evnets, everything ran according to plan for most of the 5 hours. We had another 8 new first time players from Hiscoes, Dgen, Elanora, Castlereagh club, the word is getting out and we can see an increase in participation. Dgen supplied 4 players with 2 winning their events and the other 2 placing 2nd and 3rd, a great results for all involved at the DGen junior program. The under 19 section saw 2 players, Diego and Liam come up from ACT to play both juniors and graded adding some strength to the 19 section, this did not stop Ken Lamb from continuing his dominance in the series, winning all 3 events so far. We contiue to get very positive feedback from parents and players about the series and the plan for 2021 is to expand the series to an event every month. Thanks to Jason and the MAASH staff, Squash NSW for their support with prizes, the main series sponsor Pete Sinidinos and to all the parents who assisted during the event, escpecially those with kids involved in Division 6, our new novice kids. The last event for the year is scheduled for December 20th at Willoughby, with this being the big Xmas wind up, with more games and activities, a skins event, prizes and giveaways, plus the award for leading point scorers throughout the series. 08.01.2022 When the IOC brought in formal event inspection procedures to assess candidate sport's credentials, the first squash inspection took place at the Hong Kong Open... on 1 / 2 December 2012 for the 2020 Olympic Games programme. As in some previous years an all-glass show court had been erected at the Cultural Centre Piazza on the Hong Kong waterfront at Tsim Sha Tsui. Walter Sieber, one of the two IOC Programme Commission representatives, said: "We found that the competition arrangements were of a high level, and on court we were able to see the top players in action too. It has proven to be very informative." The bid proved unsuccessful though, when the 2020 Games spot opened up by the IOC for a ‘new’ sport was given back to wrestling, which had been removed by them to make the space! Plonking it on my desk recently, having disinterred it from the depths of a cardboard box containing a chaos of my papers and "stuff," she jabbed out a jibe: "What a Scruffpot, Lenny! No wonder you buried it." So... game on! "Strong legs," I pointed out. "Those shorts, though. Flouncy... borderline immodest." You must award me a tick or two for the neat, matching wristlets, Darls. Surely!" "Purely peripheral. Your beard's the issue. Simply doesn't work, Lenny. Whatever possessed you to grow it? Awful look!" 'Perhaps... But I didn't choose to grow it, Dearest: it bloody well grew itself after I returned to England having inadvertently left my universal plug-in contraption behind in the socket of a Munich hotel's bathroom.Took me weeks and weeks to find a replacement in England." "A likely story." "Yes...but a true one." "Fair enough. Still... I won't be displaying your beard in our Squash Album, poppet. I don't want to embarrass you." Pecking me on the cheek, Herself up and a-wayed before I could tell her that I have always been quite capable of embarrassing myself.
