23.01.2022 , , Bring more joy into your life with these simple tips: ... Confidence comes when you are happy with yourself. We are living in a world where we are constantly comparing ourselves to others, wanting someone elses life, their legs, the life that they have portrayed. The best advice would be to be authentically you, dont worry about what other people think, simply do what brings you joy. When you are your authentic self, confidence naturally follows. So many people are chasing the wrong thing. What does success mean to you. Being content is actually quite simple. Being content is a feeling and not a thing as so many have mistaken it for. Material things dont make us happy or content, maybe for a second, but you cant buy the real thing! Lets change our mentality and think about what the feeling is. Remember simple is best, get into nature, hang out with friends, exercise, go for a swim, eat good food, or give you dog a hug! Practice gratitude and count your blessings. Dont listen to the noise. Be you and do things that make you happy. If thats listening to music and belting songs out in the shower, DO IT! You cant fake happiness as a feeling, but you can practice the actions you associate with happiness despite the emotions youre going through. What would a happy action look like to you? If youre unhappy, try and change your mindset and routine and incorporate more activities and actions that will in turn make you happy. Do things that a happy person would do. Smile at everybody even when youre down, dance wildly, be kind to those around you, maintain a good self-care routine, seek counsel from a trusted ally. Put the actions in place and the emotion will reflect. ~

23.01.2022 If you’re like most people, you’re probably keeping tabs on your favourite team and statistics. What’s surprising is that if you look closely, you can actually learn powerful business lessons from the weekend’s action! . Sport teaches us a lot about business... We’ve seen countless examples of coaches being replaced with new ones and seeing their performance turn around. So why doesn’t business run the same way? It’s time to look at problems from a different perspective. Your staff can only perform as well as they’re set up and coached. . Teams perform at their best when they’re coached The same is true in business! . Customer service is management driven On game day, where will the manager or coach be sitting? They’re watching the game being played; they’re making decisions; changing positions; improvising in the moment based on the gameplay; they’re responding to the loss of momentum. So in business, be sure to get out of the office and watch the game being played. It might be time to make a change and call a huddle! . Sport teaches us about keeping score Sport and games are exciting because there is a scoreboard. The same goes for business, teams are more motivated when they have more frequent score boards (feedback/updates/reviews). . Sport shows us the importance of training When the game is not being played, what are the best sports teams doing every day? They’re training! Even the best in their field spend hours perfecting the fundamentals. Learn from the best sporting teams in the world; become a coach for your team; be on the ‘ground’ when the game is being played; help your team keep score, and train your staff to success. These are critical ingredients for growth and repeat business #talkingtactics #businessfitness #dglaccountants #workhardplayharder #enjoyyourweekend

23.01.2022 ? ! You may be eligible for these concessions in your tax return:... Small business income tax offset. If you run a business with a turnover less than $5 million as a sole trader, partnership or trust, you can reduce your tax bill by up to $1,000. This is different from the low and middle income tax offset, which you may also be eligible for. Simply report your net small business income in your individual tax return. We’ll then work out the offset amount you’re eligible for and include it in your assessment. Lower company tax rate. If you operate your business as a company, you may be eligible for the lower company tax rate of 27.5%. Before using this rate, check whether your business is a ‘base rate entity’. This depends on your company’s aggregated turnover and how much of its income is passive income. Deduction concessions. There are a range of concessions you can use to deduct expenses in full that you would usually have to deduct over a number of years. For example, the instant asset write-off, accelerated depreciation and concessions for start-up expenses allow you to do this. For more info see: www.ato.gov.au//small/concessions/concessions-at-a-glance/ , !

11.01.2022 : We’ve had quite a few questions about the JobMaker hiring credit announced in the 2020-21 Federal Budget. The freshly legislated JobMaker Hiring Credit, the new incentive for businesses to employ additional young job seekers, is to be administered by the ATO. To be eligible, employers must hold an Australian business number (ABN), be up-to-date with their tax lodgement obligations, be registered for pay-as-you-go (PAYG) withhold...ing, and be reporting through Single Touch Payroll. 10.01.2022 The Fairbairn Dam near Emerald is almost empty, so a few years ago Peter & Catherine Galea embarked on a program to substantially drought proof their property in the Fairbairn Dam catchment area. Their wish list was to have consistency in annual cropping yields, diversity in cropping to assist in soil management, take advantage of the ever changing world crop prices and develop a cash flow plan with less guess work.... The plan, in summary, was achieved by: Laser levelling the area to maximise water efficiency. Constructing 2 dams with a total capacity of 1500 megalitres. A pumping system to run the irrigators - self designed and built by Peter and his team. 5 pivot irrigators covering 310 hectares. Peter & Catherine had the plans, ideas and technical know-how and DGL helped with the figures. Peter & Catherine have achieved crop production that has, to date, exceeded all expectations and DGL continues to monitor this, assisting in cash flow models and timely tax planning advice.
