16.01.2022 It’s not all beer and skittles in our industry , our Melbourne Tractors ASV RT-40 to the rescue. We do have stuff ups, problems and breakdowns, like any other contractor. Not to mention trying to navigate Melbourne weather. But as always we endeavour to deliver high quality works and be as reactive and honest as possible. ... And if we stuff up, we communicate and fix it immediately no questions asked. Here is a prime example, us trying to get out of a sticky situation navigating a moisture loaded oval. This post is focused to the scope of works after though, doing everything we can to rectify the problem. Turf sand was supplied, installed and levelled to rectify the damage. (Photos in the comments ) And the lesson for my operator was to head back that afternoon to water roll. August 2020 was a tricky month for ovals .

Brand new turf wickets are a tricky project at the best of times, often taking months of qualified maintenance and weather to establish them when blending into their existing oval surrounds. We were given an opportunity to construct a brand new wicket for Mount Waverley Cricket Club last year and have been watching its progression closely over winter . ... The north, east and west borders obviously needing rectification to blend them in more consistently. When a break in weather opened, we reacted quickly and developed a plan to rectify immediately. Consisting of works on the wicket itself and the curtain directly around it. See the photos of the boys getting into the shovel work, the straight edge was our secret weapon during this project getting a dead flat finish. All ready for the upcoming season and some light / frequent sports turf maintenance from the City of Monash crew .
