25.01.2022 As some of my clients may have known I have just returned from 3 weeks leave. What just about everyone didn’t know was my partner and I eloped to Palm Cove with our 3 children. While it is always great to have a break and relax, I was excited to get back to work and help people with their building dreams. With that being said and a new year approaching I want to let you know that with all of the ‘Plantation Pointers’ and ‘Inclusion Insights’ posts I will be adding ‘’Construct...ion Checkpoint’ where I will be going out to some of my current building jobs to show you that side of the process and hopefully get to speak with the owners on their journey so far. 23.01.2022 Landscaping Inspiration While Plantation Homes does not do the landscaping for you it is definitely something that you have to consider when building your home. How will the inside of your house transition to the usable space outside? With block sizes getting smaller you may not have all that much room to work with but that doesn't mean you can't make the spaces work well together. These photos show back yards with between 3m -5m of space from the house to the boundary..... And they look AMAZING!!

Building a new home close to bushland can be appealing, but could also mean additional costs as part of your build to comply with bushfire requirements. The costs to upgrade your building materials are dependent on the BAL rating. If you dont know a lot about houses or building then eaves are something that youve probably heard of but not sure what they are.... well eaves are the edges of the roof which overhang the face of a wall and, normally, project beyond the side of a building. The alternative to this is when you want to build to your boundary line.
