25.01.2022 What great entries! Honoured to be a finalist.

24.01.2022 We are proud to announce that the recent extension completed in Kensington has been nominated as a FINALIST in this years MASTER BUILDERS HOUSING EXCELLENCE AWARDS! To be nominated for these awards that had over 380 entries is a real privilege and testament to all the hard work and attention to detail put in by the company and their tradespeople. Works included a new kitchen, master bedroom with ensuite, living room, laundry, outdoor areas and carport. All works competed w...hile owners lived in the house with minimal disruption. From the client: "The proof is in the Pudding! The outcome of Daniels hard work is there for all to see...and compliment. His eye for detail and unwillingness to settle for any imperfections, are just a few of the many reasons we now have a well planned, user friendly space, that is immaculate in its finishes. We were kept informed and included in all decisions, allowing plenty of time to choose our desired fixtures and fittings. This meant no sudden surprises and made us feel extremely comfortable with anything Dan had planned. He even went above and beyond, creating bespoke pieces from recycled materials taken from original house. His ability to listen, provide honest feedback and most importantly care, meant building a relationship of absolute trust was easy. This removed a lot of our stresses during the build and we would happily build with Daniel again"

24.01.2022 Week 2 and 3 at our site in Kensington. Delay due to Thursdays storm but still managed to get the site set out, plumbing pipework installed, footings and pads excavated, steel screw piles drilled in, white ant treatment stage 1 complete, screen wall footings dug, polythene and steel placed with concrete poured and levelled. Now time to let the concrete cure while kept under water to ensure maximum strength is achieved.

24.01.2022 Location Kensington. Brief Complete bathroom alteration. Job Removal of all bathroom fixtures and fittings. Placement of fibre cement board to enable insulation of floor tiles and under tile heating over an existing timber floor. A like for like design saved the client money with very minimum plumbing alterations required. New vanity, toilet, and shower screen with new floor and wall tiles. The bathroom door was reused in keeping to the houses character and was rehung to open against the wall. This project was completed in week, what a transformation.

24.01.2022 Location Mount Lawley. Job Install new lift well. Brief Remove external building elements in a way to ensure the house stayed water tight and secure until the new lift was installed.... We installed a new concrete reinforced floor with timber frame infills between columns that were cladded with blue board and lined with gyprock inside. In addition to the lift works a new entry door was cut in and installed with a new canopy constructed above. To carry out these works the gas and power metre needed to be relocated, in addition to that a new service hatch was installed to accommodate the lifting equipment. See more

23.01.2022 Not long until the winner is announced! Absolutely stoked with the finish on this extension, as is the client!

18.01.2022 Kensington job update 7 weeks since we started the job and we have a new tiled roof. Did someone say roof shout?

17.01.2022 Final stage of the year completed. Nine weeks ago we had the goal of making the extension watertight before Christmas which was achieved over a week early. Thanks to all the subcontractors and clients who helped us achieve this goal. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from DGR Building Solutions.

15.01.2022 Finished in November, the client scope was to transform the underutilized space into something more practical. We raised the floor and upgraded the roof supports, allowing us to remove the old timber beam and post dead smack in the middle of the room. New sliding door and fixed window invited the outside in, along with the removal of the old internal slider and wall, to open the space up to the exiting living and kitchen.

14.01.2022 Recently completed stage 1 works in Wembley. New bedroom addition with water closet and remodelling of the existing bathroom and laundry. Bedroom features hardwood floors, cedar joinery, high ceilings with decorative finishing lines to match the character of the existing home. New kitchen, decking and joinery to be installed early next year.

13.01.2022 Great progress over the last few weeks. With the concrete pad cured, the new brick fence and columns were constructed, soakwells dug in, timber frames constructed on-site and erected and stick roof pitched, braced and supported.

12.01.2022 Brief Complete bathroom alteration Job Complete demolition of all bathroom elements enabling new waterlines to be run to different locations. Old patchy concrete floor was replaced with a new concrete slab with set down for shower. Old cupboard removed to enable new door location inside a newly constructed timber framed wall. New floor and full height tiles with new bath, vanity and window. This once small tired bathroom was brought back to life within 2 weeks.

10.01.2022 Stage two works at our Wembley job was completed prior to Christmas 2019. This comprised of a complete remodel of the existing kitchen, laundry and living. We removed the existing concrete floor and raised the roof to the old enclosed laundry to make way for the new location of the kitchen. Numerous steel beams where required to take the weight of the second storey where walls had been removed to open the space. We were able to do this while the client remained in the house ...due to our first stage works that gave them a new bedroom, W/C and laundry which acted as a makeshift kitchen. Beautiful cedar joinery was cut into existing walls to add loads of natural light and give easy access to the once hidden pool area. A jarrah deck was built surrounding the pool, complementing the recycled jarrah floorboards inside. It was a pleasure working with the clients on this one. It shows how careful planning can enable you to stay in your property while we transform your home with minimal disruptions.

10.01.2022 Week 1 completed at our new site in Kensington. Disconnections of power and water, asbestos cladding, vinyl and fence removed, roof tiles salvaged, separation of structures with exiting house made watertight, demolition of old W/C, laundry, bedroom, garage and concrete pads, site levelled with engineered compaction certificate received.

09.01.2022 CLIENT FEEDBACK: LIFT EXTENSION - MOUNT LAWLEY TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN A recent decision to install a lift into our home required considerable carpentry renovation to a finished standard which would reflect and become integral within the front main entrance area of the house.... Daniel was responsible for the entire refit, we found his workmanship and craft to be of an exceptionally high standard, this was achieved without interference or complaint from us. We found Daniel to be fastidious and particularly neat and tidy, each evening he left the work area clean taking care to leave the site hazard-free. We also enjoyed Daniels polite, happy nature and were never concerned where security was a consideration. We would take enquiry from anyone wishing to engage Daniel to undertake carpentry to a high standard, we can be contacted through the email address shown above. Judy and Ian Gorton 29th August 2018

07.01.2022 Job Renovate old Rental Property Brief This rental property had seen better days, we were tasked with working directly with the client to modernise their property. The hardest part of this build was the space we had to work with, we needed to be creative and cost effective with our works. One way we provide extra space was by pushed back and removing the back door. This along with the wasted space of a small hallway allowed room for a large inbuilt cupboard in one of the... bedrooms and a new linin cupboard in the hallway. Another cupboard was built inside the master bedroom with rails and shelving. Water pressure for this house use to be via a header tank in the ceiling, this was removed with new mains pressure pipework, taps and hot water cylinder again with additional storage. The main entry was also pushed back to line up with the exterior walls allowing more floor space and by bring the outside laundry in. A new toilet was installed in the laundry to enable both bathroom and toilet to be used at the same time. The bathroom was completely made over with new bath, vanity, mirror and tapware. Not to discourage young families and being mindful of the space, the shower was again fitted over the bath. The kitchen was removed along with the wall between the living room and kitchen via a new engineered timber beam. This opened the house up completely. Adding the feel of space, a new ranchslider was installed that lead out to a new deck, bring the outside in. The old log fire was removed and replaced with an air conditioning unit with all exterior lining removed to accommodate the installation of insulation that was not previously present. The house was finished off with a fresh coat of paint inside and out, with new floor finishes and trims. This house transformation provided a lot of attention and once completed was tenanted straight away to a young family that left the landlord with a higher market value property with an 25% increased rental return. Testimony from the clients; We recently had a extension put on the front of our home after lots of research we came across Dan at DGR building solutions.
